About the adventure

In a galaxy torn between the might of the Empire and the desperate hope of the Rebellion, one crew dares to carve out their own destiny. They are smugglers, raiders, and opportunists—pirates whose only true loyalty lies with their ship and their next payday. To some, they’re criminals. To others, they’re freedom fighters. In truth, they are simply survivors in a galaxy where allegiances shift as fast as hyperspace lanes. This campaign follows the exploits of a ragtag band of scoundrels who walk the razor’s edge between the galaxy’s two greatest powers. One day, they may be running guns for the Rebellion, striking a blow against Imperial control. The next, they’re smuggling spice or transporting illicit cargo under the watchful eye of the very stormtroopers they undermined. Every job brings risk, every deal has a cost, and every choice could change the crew’s fate. Players will explore strange new worlds, traverse treacherous trade routes, and confront both the long arm of Imperial law and the shadowy forces that thrive in the underworld. Along the way, they’ll negotiate with crime lords, dodge bounty hunters, and test their luck against the endless dangers of space. Trust will be tested, alliances will be forged and broken, and the crew must decide what matters most: survival, credits, or something greater. This is not a story of heroes or villains—it’s a story of hustlers, gamblers, and dreamers trying to make their mark on a galaxy at war. Whether the crew chooses to lean into rebellion, sell their services to the Empire, or play both sides until it all catches up with them, one truth remains: fortune favors the bold.

About me

Hey folks! My name is Thomas Jarvis, and I’m based in the Northwestern United States. I recently transitioned out of the U.S. Army after six years of active service, and I bring that same teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail into the games I run. Outside of tabletop gaming, I’m also an intermediate blacksmith. That work feeds directly into my love of craftsmanship, problem-solving, and building things with purpose, which carries over into how I design and run games. I come from a military background and enjoy creating collaborative, tactical, and memorable scenarios with my players. I’m just as excited to see where the story goes as you are, and I do enjoy coming up with fun NPC voices along the way 😜 I primarily run Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, focusing on fun and creative roleplay, intense tactical combat, and strong character-driven adventures. I also run the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Fantasy Flight Games for players interested in a more cinematic, narrative-focused system. Before transitioning out of the Army, I worked as a communications specialist, helping people learn new systems, tools, and skills. That background carries over directly into my games. I’m patient, clear, and genuinely enjoy teaching. New players are always welcome, and I enjoy helping people experience their very first adventure. There’s nothing quite like stepping beyond the wire for the first time. My table is meant to be a safe, structured environment where players can relax, stay immersed, and enjoy the game without outside-world stress bleeding into the experience. We play tabletop RPGs to escape the real world for a few hours and focus on telling stories, taking creative risks, and having fun together. Clear expectations, respectful play, and good communication help keep the focus where it belongs, on the adventure. Now let’s roll some dice! 🎲

What Thomas Jarvis brings to the table

Looking for a GM who blends tactical combat, immersive storytelling, and player-led creativity? I'm Thomas Jarvis—a military veteran and voice actor turned GM. At my table, combat is dynamic and cinematic, with thoughtful strategy and dramatic stakes. NPCs come alive with distinct voices, and the table is a welcoming space for beginners and veterans alike. I lean into the Rule of Cool when it amps up the fun, but always guide gameplay with clarity and purpose. With periodic homebrew enhancements, sessions are faster paced and more rewarding. We’ll be using Foundry VTT to keep gameplay smooth and engaging. Ready to roll?
