About the adventure

Have a character you always wanted to replay? Here's your chance! ... kinda With new beginings come changes: Redesign your original character into one of the 13 new species as they find themselves reborn in the land of Druskenvald. Stranded in one of the providences, the party must find out what binds them to this place and fix the broken land under the Crooked Moon. The Crooked Moon uses 2024 rules, and introduces 13 new species as well as 15 new subclasses. There are also new spells and magical items to find along the way. π‚πŽπŒππ€π“: βš”οΈβš”οΈβš”οΈ π‘πŽπ‹π„ππ‹π€π˜: 🎭🎭🎭🎭 π„π—ππ‹πŽπ‘π€π“πˆπŽπ: πŸ—ΊοΈ 𝐏𝐔𝐙𝐙𝐋𝐄𝐒: 🧩 π‹πŽπ‘π„ 𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐇: πŸ““πŸ““πŸ““

About me

Just your average nerd trying to play more d&d. Have you ever had a friend be volun-told to DM a game? That was me. But then I loved it, so here we are. I enjoy puns, silly side plots, and trying to not laugh when my players come up with wacky ideas like drowning the ogre using an immovable rod. I run 5e content and run game RAI (Rules as intended) or ROC (Rule of cool). I do use supplemental material to add in or take things out to make the game run in a smoother/more exciting way. So even if you've played a module before, it'll be different this time around! I've currently run: Curse of Strahd πŸ§› 🩸 x1 Tomb of annihilation πŸ¦–πŸŒ΄ x2 Lost mine of Phandelver β›°οΈπŸ—‘οΈ x1 Out of the Abyss πŸ„πŸ‘Ώ x5 Storm King's Thunder πŸŒ©οΈπŸ‰ x1 Wild beyond the Witchlight 🎠🧚🏽 x3 Dungeon of the Mad Mage β›°οΈπŸ§™πŸΌ x1 Vecna - Eve of Ruin πŸ‘οΈπŸ–οΈx3 I have wrapped up the above games in 6-12 months (Curse of Strahd lasted 15 months, Mad mage is still ongoing but will likely last 2 years) If you are looking for a DM for a corporate event, message me for prices. I've done both entertainment and team building events. 🌟Btw the banner pictures are art that a player did for the various shenanigans that happened over a few campaigns. Character creation

Creating your character

There are 2 options for you character: Option A: Someone who dies and is reborn in the land of the dead You will need two characters for this option - Your original (who will die in the intro) - Your reincarnated self This is perfect for reusing an old/retired character to kick things off. You'll work with me to decide on how the original died and on a reincarnated race, connecting it back to the original character through things like ideals, bonds, and personality (some of these lean towards certain reincarnation races more than others). You will keep your reincarnated character specifics secret (aside from class) until session 1. You don't want to spoil the cool introduction scene! Option B: Someone who was born in the land of the dead Multiclassing will only be allowed with in-story justification, this is not the game for min-maxers. This is the game for those looking for epic fights, mystery, and role play that helps define their character. We will be using ONLY the 2024 Wizard's of the Coast published classes for this, as well as the new subclasses for the Crooked Moon setting: Barbarian: Path of the Experiment: Augments the body with volatile serums. Bard College of Whistles: Summoning the power of storytellers beyond the grave. Cleric Harvest Domain: Focuses on aspects of the harvest; sowing, growing, and reaping (choose each day which to embody) Druid Circle of the Old Ways: Connects to primeval spirits. Circle of Wicker: Crafts effigies for sacrifice and protection. Fighter Barrow Guard: Commands the might of the grave. Monk Warrior of the Pestilent Haze: Spreads plague with a touch. Paladin Oath of Castigation: Purge the wicked and root evil out to burn it away Ranger Grim Harbinger: Watcher of the dead and bringer of doom Rogue Sinner: A hex thrower, cursing foes with terrible luck Sorcerer Crimson Sorcery: Manipulate the power of vitality for boon or bane Warlock The Great Fool: Laughing in the face of danger Horned King: Fill your foes with rot, hate, and agony Wizard Occultist: Peering behind the cosmic veil Philosopher: Trying to unravel the mysteries of existance

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need: a roll20, dndbeyond, and discord account. Stable internet connection and microphone + if you also have a webcam! You will need to discuss with the DM about your character idea so we can make sure we have a cohesive team for the game

What Belle brings to the table

Lots of interesting NPCs and spooky locations to explore in a folk horror setting. Terrible character voices, ambient music, and tactical combat throughout the adventure. Rule of cool flies at the table more often than not.

Homebrew rules

Death saves are made in private to the DM. Using an action to drink a potion gives max healing Many of the dm rolls will be off screen (just like a DM screen when people used to play in person!) so that I can then describe what happens without players just looking at a number and moving on. Important/game changing rolls will be made publically.

How Belle creates a safe table

Lines & Veils must be filled out before session zero. This is a folk horror game, so there will be some sensitive topics. You will also have access to a Stars and Wishes form for feedback after each session.
