About the adventure
The clopping of horse hooves pierce through the din of voices around you. Blades are sharpened, armor is strengthened, songs are sung - and you are frozen. Whether by fear, nerves, or a dread for something that you don't fully understand. The Queen's Tournament. Your minor House has never been invited to something so grand. While you are an accomplished warrior by your own rights, you've never proven yourself at this scale. You're pretty sure you saw the infamous Gregor Giantsfolly this morning. How could your Lord possibly think you are worthy of fighting for their glory here? A wagon rushes past you, splashing mud on your travel clothes. You hear laughter as you look down at your soiled garments. This feels about right... -------------------------- Answer the call to the Queen's Tournament and bring honor to your House! This campaign will take you and your companions to the greatest competition the realm has ever seen. While you are pledged to a relatively minor Lord, anyone can fight in - and win - this contest! Whether you fight for glory, gold, or something far more personal - the Tournament awaits! Together, we will tell the story of the Queen's Tournament and build the history of your House. Following a great victory on the battlefield, you and your party members are here to earn a name for yourselves and support your Lord. You will soon learn, however, that all is not as it seems at this Game of Games... Compete in challenging games, defeat powerful foes, uncover a terrible plot, and become heroes of the realm!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello there! My name is Zach and I'm a professionally trained actor in Los Angeles who performs regularly in the area. Aside from this, I work with young audiences and students directing theater, running drum circles, and generally bringing them unique formats to expand their social and emotional learning. That said, I love playing D&D with people from all backgrounds and all experience levels, having run many games for people who have never even heard of table top role playing. So if you're totally new to this and overwhelmed (like we all were when we started), have no fear! I love sharing this game with people, and can have you rolling like a pro in no time! In addition to running games on platforms like this, I also DM every year at the adult D&D summer camp, Dungeons & Cabins! Here, I have worked alongside DMs such as Johnny Stanton, James Haeck, Danielle Radford, Mayana Berrin, Alec Lachman, Eliam Weinstock, Cate Osborn, Leon Barillaro, and Sammy Glicker. My biggest goal as a DM is to make sure everyone at the table is having fun and feeling safe. While adventuring has its fair share of dangers, sitting at my table doesn't. For custom bookings, events, and young audiences, visit my website: www.gameswithzach.com So let's hang out and tell a story together! Meet you at the tavern!

Creating your character
We will chat about characters leading up to our Session 0, where we will finalize choices and establish our relationships. Character details: - 2024 rules - Level 3 - Any species or class in the PHB is fair game. Others are case by case, but I tend to be pretty flexible! - Your characters recently fought in a war where your Queen's forces were victorious. We will build your war stories, your successes, your defeats, and the ghosts you now carry
Classes are still being figured out, but all the players so far are regulars of mine. This is a great table full of generous role-players who care about making sure that everyone gets to shine!

How Zach creates a safe table
I'll send out a link to a survey that can be taken before we meet. There, you'll be able to let me know your favorite parts about and experience with TTRPGs. This will be beginner friendly! You will also be able to select certain topics that you would like to be completely avoided, or those you would like to be handled with care and sensitivity. I want to do everything I can to make a safe table, so we can all relax into the game and have as much fun as possible!
