About me

With over 15+ years of TTRGP experience, I am someone who is enthusiastic about running games for folks! I am currently the co-host and founder of The QueerXP actual play podcast, where we have run close to 100 indie TTRPGs over the course of the show. I love telling stories with people and having a chance to explore complicated themes and make difficult choices through the game. I have run everything from one-shot adventures to multi-year campaigns with friends. I believe coming to the table should be a safe and fun experience for all players, which informs my GM style.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen during session zero. Players will be able to choose from any MASKS playbooks.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will simply need to join a discord server, which will be linked once a player books the game. We will schedule a session zero prior to the campaign starting and use that space to prepare for the campaign. This game is rules lite and easy to jump into!

What FalconWizard brings to the table

Players joining this campaign can expect to dive into the teen angst of it all with their characters. As a GM, I aim to create a world that feels engaging, full of memorable NPCs, and compelling stories that make everyone want to come back next week to find out what happens. With this system, I tend to be rules as written, mostly because the rules as written are pretty open to allow players to do a wide range of things during game play. At the end of the day, I want players to have a memorable experience and have fun.

Safety

How FalconWizard creates a safe table

Prior to session zero, I will ask folks to fill out a brief lines & veils document, which will be asking "what are your hard stops" and "what are things that are okay, but not too much / things that we should fade to black?" During the session, we will use the X card as our main safety tool. This means if something is uncomfortable or triggering, we will pause, reset, and redirect the scene. After sessions are over, we will take time to check-in see how players are feeling and what they hope to see in future sessions. Additionally, breaks are built in for players, as needed.
