About the adventure

You are bound to Grimalkin, the Archfey of Chaotic Perfection. No longer a simple adventurer, you now serve as an agent of cosmic balance—though Grimalkin's idea of "balance" is a dangerous game played for his own amusement. When the world grows too virtuous, he'll demand you sow discord. When darkness rises too high, he'll demand you be the light. There are no heroes here. Only choices, and consequences. From the surreal dreamscapes of the Feywild to the rigid clockwork cities of Mechanus, you'll travel the planes, uncover forgotten secrets, and bargain with memories. This is Dark Fantasy with elements of psychological and folk horror—expect moral dilemmas where no option is "good," only the one that tips the scales. Perfect for: Players who love morally gray storytelling, planar exploration, and fey bargains with teeth. System: D&D 2024 Rules We're using the updated 2024 Player's Handbook. New to the changes? No problem—we'll help you get up to speed. Drop-In Style Saga Life happens. Every session is a self-contained episode—miss a week, and your character is simply "holding the line" elsewhere in the multiverse. You keep all XP and loot, ready to answer the call whenever you can.

About me

My journey into tabletop RPGs began in 2000 with D&D 3.5, where I started playing online in a text based chat room. I played this way for about 5 years and then after a decade-long hiatus, I returned in 2014 with Pathfinder 1e where I was invited to join a standing a group of seasoned players. We played in person until covid made it where we couldn't. We converted to playing online, and continue to play together today. We have played star wars rpg, Pathfinder 2e and recently started playing 5e. We rotate being gm and I have gained a lot of experience from this group. Drawing on this experience, I have frequently stepped into the Game Master role for my group, and have been running adventures consistently for the past year. I bring adaptability, commitment, and a player-focused perspective to the GM screen. I am eager to explore new challenges and create compelling stories for the table.

Character creation

Creating your character

Full build rules are on discord, but the basics are. Characters will be created in DNDBeyond 2024 Rules, Level 5 Build Can use Point Buy, Standard Array, or roll for stats on discord. Most Content Allowed. The Vibe: Dark, Grim, High Fantasy You serve an Archfey who prizes balance over virtue. Your character isn't evil, but expect to make hard moral choices in some sessions. Build for Anything: Combat is deadly, but it isn't the only threat. You will face social intrigue, cryptic puzzles, heists, and horror-forward mysteries. Format: West Marches (Flexible parties; groups may be mixed-level based on who attends).

The current party

"Prepare for an adventure that tests more than just your steel. You will face complex puzzles, high-stakes diplomacy, and tactical battles in equal measure. A 'hack-and-slash' approach won't get you far here. I encourage you to build well-rounded characters who can think their way out of a corner just as well as they can fight. A balanced party will be the key to survival."

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To ensure our adventure runs smoother than a rogue's sleight of hand, please have the following ready: Solid Internet — Lag is the true final boss. Discord Ready — Join our server: Link will be sent once siged up for session. This is where announcements and session coordination happen. Roll20 Account — Create a free account at roll20.net. You'll receive a campaign invite once you've joined the Discord. For best performance, use Chrome or Firefox. Mic Check — A working microphone is a must so we can hear your battle cries! Webcam is optional, but we'd love to see your face. Headphones Recommended — Helps reduce echo and audio bleed, especially if you're not in a quiet space. Hero Loaded — Have your character created in DnD Beyond campaign at least an hour before the session start so I can get everything set up on my end and give it a look over. Origin Story — Bring a fun backstory to share, including how you became bound to Grimalkin, the Archfey of Chaotic Perfection

What David brings to the table

Here's what you can expect when you sit down at my digital table: Visuals — Full Roll20 integration with dynamic lighting. Watch your step in the dark! Vibes — Immersive ambient music and soundscapes via KenkuFM to set the mood for every scene. Action — Fast-paced, creative one-shots for every session. Each adventure is self-contained but threads into the larger saga. Gameplay — Deep roleplay opportunities, intense tactical combat, and multiple paths to victory. Your choices shape the story. Creativity — We embrace the Rule of Cool! Swing from the chandelier, bluff the demon, try the impossible—it might fail spectacularly, or it might become legendary. Resources — Full access to shared content on D&D Beyond for character building and reference. GM Style RAW foundation with a Rule of Cool mindset. I prioritize pacing over perfection—judgment calls happen in the moment to keep the game flowing, with any corrections handled after the session.

Safety

How David creates a safe table

Our ultimate quest is simple: maximum fun, maximum challenge. Safe Harbor — This table is a safe space for everyone. We're here to slay monsters, not vibes. The Golden Rule — Be kind, be cool, have a blast. Don't be a mimic. Short Rest — We take a break halfway through each session to recharge our real-life spell slots. Open Channel — Need a private word? My DMs are always open. Content Rating: PG-13 Expect violence, strong language, and dark themes at the table.
