About the adventure

You have been bound to an Archfey of chaotic perfection. No longer a simple adventurer, you are an agent of the cosmos charged with an absolute but obscure mission: maintain the delicate balance of the multiverse. From the surreal, shifting dreamscapes of the Feywild to the rigid, ticking clockwork cities of Mechanus, you will travel the planes to uncover secrets, bargain with memories, and confront physical manifestations of sorrow and fear. Play When You Can, Heroes Wanted Always We know life happens. This campaign is designed as a Drop-In Style Saga—think of it like an episodic TV show. Every session is a self-contained adventure, so missing one never ruins the plot. Flexible Participation: Whether you play weekly or monthly, there is a seat at the table. If you miss a session, your character is simply "holding the line" elsewhere in the multiverse. Persistent Progression: You retain all XP, loot, and magic items, ready to jump back in whenever you can answer the call. Are you ready to walk the razor's edge between chaos and order, good and evil, to preserve the balance of all things? The table is open to all ages and welcomes teens to join the game. Just keep in mind the table will play at the PG-13 level which includes violence, language, etc.

About me

My journey into tabletop RPGs began in 2000 with Dungeons & Dragons 3.5, moving from vibrant online chat rooms to custom virtual tabletops. After a decade-long hiatus, I returned in 2014 with Pathfinder 1st Edition, navigating the shift from in-person play to the organized environment of Roll20, where my campaigns continue today. This deep history across multiple editions (D&D 3.5, Pathfinder 1E/2E, D&D 5E) and formats has equipped me with a broad understanding of TTRPG dynamics. Drawing on this experience, I have frequently stepped into the Game Master role for my group, and have been running adventures consistently for the past year. I bring adaptability, commitment, and a player-focused perspective to the GM screen. I am eager to explore new challenges, including the upcoming 2024 edition of D&D, and create compelling stories for your table.

Character creation

Creating your character

✨ Character Creation: The Adventure Begins! ✨ Ready to forge your legend? Follow these steps to build your hero and prepare for glory! Full rules on discord server. 🦸 Create Your Hero Head over to D&D Beyond and players start at Level 5, but the party will be built of players of different levels based on sessions played. Race/Class/Alignment: Anything goes! Ruleset: We are playing with the 2024 Rules. Books: All published content on DND beyond, including partner content. Please run homebrew by me first. Note: If a specific option (like a spell or subclass) hasn't been updated for 2024 yet, you are welcome to use the older version.

The current party

"Prepare for an adventure that tests more than just your steel. You will face complex puzzles, high-stakes diplomacy, and tactical battles in equal measure. A 'hack-and-slash' approach won't get you far here. I encourage you to build well-rounded characters who can think their way out of a corner just as well as they can fight. A balanced party will be the key to survival."

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To ensure our adventure runs smoother than a rogue's sleight of hand, please have the following ready: 🐉 Solid Internet: Because lag is the true final boss. 🐉 Discord & Roll20: Make sure you are registered and joined up on both! 🐉 Mic Check: A working microphone is a must so we can hear your battle cries (Webcam is optional, but we'd love to see your face!). 🐉 Old School Tools: Some pen and paper for tracking clues and loot. 🐉 Hero Ready: Have your character imported and loaded into the campaign. 🐉 Origin Story: A fun backstory to share with the party :)

What David brings to the table

What DM Dave Brings to the Table: Here is what you can expect when you sit down at my digital table: ⚔️ Visuals: Full Roll20 integration with dynamic lighting—watch your step in the dark! ⚔️ Vibes: Immersive ambient music and soundscapes via KenkuFM. ⚔️ Action: Fast-paced, creative 1-shots for every single session. ⚔️ Gameplay: Deep roleplay opportunities, intense combats, and multiple ways to "win." ⚔️ Creativity: We love the Rule of Cool! Give it a try—it might fail, or it might be legendary. ⚔️ Resources: Full access to shared content on D&D Beyond.

Homebrew rules

📜 House Rules & Homebrew To keep the action moving and the tactics sharp, we use the following adjustments: Critical Chaos On any d20 Test (Attacks, Ability Checks, or Saves): Natural 1: Always a Failure. Natural 20: Always a Success. Tactical Flanking We use flanking rules, but with a twist: Flanking an enemy grants a flat +2 bonus to hit, rather than Advantage. Potion Logistics Drink (Action): Automatic Maximum Healing (no rolling required). Drink (Bonus Action): Roll the dice for HP recovery. Hand Off: Passing a potion to an ally is a Free Object Interaction. Administer: Feeding a potion to a downed or incapacitated ally takes an Action. Skill Checks: "Proficiency First" To prevent dog-piling, when I call for a skill check, only those with Proficiency in that skill may roll immediately. If you are not proficient, please wait—I may ask for your help specifically if the situation calls for it! The Rule of Cool Creative solutions are encouraged and permitted! However, be warned: Just because it sounds cool doesn't mean it will automatically succeed. High creativity often comes with high risk.

Safety

How David creates a safe table

🤝 The Spirit of the Game Our ultimate quest is simple: maximum fun and maximum challenge! ❤️ Safe Harbor: This table is a safe space for everyone. We are here to slay monsters, not vibes. 😎 The Golden Rule: Be kind, be cool, and have a blast. Don't be a mimic (a jerk). ⏸️ Short Rest: We will take a break about halfway through the session to recharge our real-life spell slots. 📨 Open Channel: Need a private word? My DMs are always open if you need to message the GM. Room is open to all ages, just keep in mind the table is at a PG-13 level meaning there maybe violence and strong language, etc.
