About the adventure

A young white dragon has descended from the peaks above Phandalin, spreading terror through the frontier. Villagers whisper of missing travelers, frozen cattle, and eerie roars echoing through the valley. New to Dungeons & Dragons? This teen-friendly campaign teaches you how to play while you adventure. No experience needed — just bring your imagination. You’ll explore the town of Phandalin, take on exciting quests, and grow from a beginner hero into a confident adventurer, all at a relaxed, supportive pace. This game is perfect for teens who are brand new to D&D, curious about tabletop RPGs, or looking for a fun weekly game with others their age. Rules are explained clearly as we play, and questions are always welcome. You can expect help creating and leveling your character, beginner-friendly combat, roleplay and exploration, and a positive table where everyone gets a chance to shine.

About me

I have played dnd for many years, swapping online in 2020. Before that, I played with a group of friends every week, and at club at school. When I left, and the campaign finished, I decided that I should run games for other people, and came over to Start Playing!

Character creation

Creating your character

There will be a session 0, so that everyone can get to know each other, and decide what characters to play. If you have never played before, I can provide you with a character, or I can guide you through making your own separately. If you have played before, and just want a chill game, a character can be made during the session 0.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please can all players have discord downloaded, so that any questions you have can be answered, and we can talk out of game. I will be using Owlbear Rodeo as I find it easier for everyone to use, and even works on phones and tablets. Both sites are free to sign up for.

What Tee brings to the table

Maps will be provided on owlbear rodeo, and a pdf of the rules, incase you do not own a physical copy. I have already made characters that you can use for the adventure, if you do not want to make your own.

Homebrew rules

I will change potions to be drunk as a free action, giving them to other people is still a bonus action. Ability checks such as persuasion will be done off of role-playing ideas, so a brief description of what is said should suffice.

Safety

How Tee creates a safe table

If you ever feel uncomfortable with something that is going on in game, you should message me, and I will try to change what is going on. At the end of a session, I will ask for stars wand wishes, which is something you enjoyed, and something that you would like me to do better. This is to help me tailor the campaign to the group.
