About the adventure

Come and play in a world were the groups actions can have a big affects on the world at large. Uncover the mystery's of this land or just be murder hobos and try not to get put in jail. I have several worlds that can host your party or we can make one with the groups input and story plot in mind. One is an older world with lots of dungeons and history the other is a newer world that is less tamed. Both can be adjusted to work with what interest the group from action and combat to heavy roleplay and deep story driven games or a mix of both. If we decided to make a new world we will do so in our session 0 (Session were we make characters) and I will build it off of what themes, style and fun ideas the players tell me.

About me

I have been a GM for over 10 years and have run several different styles of games. From hack and slash to deep story driven campaigns where players get to play out their character's goals and ambitions, while making an incredible collaborative story that will be remembered for years to come. When my players surprise me by coming at a problem from an unexpected direction, and completely derailing what I have planned is one of my favorite parts. I love this because it keeps me on my toes and sometimes the best parts of the story come from times like these. As a GM I take the role of stage setter and guide. So please come and share your stories on my stage. I look forward to running a game or campaign for you and your friends or a group of complete strangers that will become friends.

Character creation

Creating your character

This game will start at level 1-5 depending on what the group wants to do. Our first session will be a session 0 were we will discuses what level to start and and what type of game style the group would like to play along with working out what type of characters everyone will be playing. If joining an ongoing campaign. I will need to do a one on one session 0 with you before your first session to help get you and your character ready to play. The one on one session takes 90 minutes and cost the same as a normal session.

The current party

I will need to do a paid one on one session (Same price as the game) to get any new player set up to join us for the next session. That session takes 90 minutes. So please be aware that if you request to join with less time then that before the session then you will need to wait until next weeks session to join in. The group is a Orc Barbarian, Human Sorcerer, Goliath Cleric, Human Fighter and a Goblin Rogue/Pugilist. They are level 6 and just finished some under water adventures to figure out what was taking people from the docks and sinking ships off the cost. They faced and took down a giant whale hybrid monster and are now facing an bunch of syndicate thugs who are attacking an angel in an abandoned lighthouse. Come and join us for even more fun encounters and see what you can add to the story in this sandbox world. Message me with any questions This group requested the game only go for 2 hours. I have adjusted the price to match.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a mic and an account with both roll20, dndbeyond and discord. A computer and headphones is recommended as a phone or tablet can have bad feedback on sound and roll20s mobile app does not have most of the functionality as the web page does. free accounts are fine. Web cam is optional but if the group prefers the use them we can. Please have a character idea ready we will make characters in our session 0

What Tyler brings to the table

I will provide the battle maps and world maps along with making custom maps as needed. Like when the group takes things off the rails. I also share all of my books on dndbeyond with my players for as long as you are in the campaign. I make a detailed recap after each session that we use to get us caught back up at the start of each session. I also send all of those recaps out as a document at the end of the campaign so my players have the story of the adventure to keep. My wife can also draw up your characters for an additional cost.

How Tyler creates a safe table

This game is a sand box style campaign. It is a world that is alive and can be affected by the players actions. The campaign can be tailored to what ever the group wants to do. I love to run role play heavy games or just an easy hack and slash game what ever the group would like. I am happy to help players come up with deeper backstory's and motivations for there characters if they would like. We will follow the rules as written but I am willing and happy to make adjustments as needed to help make the game more fun and enjoyable. If a player wants to do something that is not in the books or use something in interesting and fun I will usually allow it. I love to see people think out side the box and surprise me. We will use the lines and vails approach to content that is in the game. lines being things we will not do and vails being things that are allowed but we hint at but then fade to black for the scene not going into more detail. We the group will discuss what these things will be in the first session. We will use Roll20 for game play with maps, dice, and music. a mix of roll20 and dndbeyond and I highly recommend using beyond20 extension to link the 2. We will also use discord for voice chat and out of game discussions. All players will have access to my dndbeyond books and character sheets for the length of the campaign.
