About the adventure
This is a Halloween themed D&D one-shot. We will be using 5th Edition 2024 rules. Ideally, this is for people who are familiar with playing D&D 5th edition. This is NOT a one shot for beginners. This is also a Halloween-themed one shot, so expect the spooky/paranormal horror theme in this game. This one shot was created by P.B. Publishing, which is available on DriveThru RPG.

About me
As someone who started their journey with tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) not too long ago, I remember the excitement and nervousness that came with it. Having a safe, guided opportunity to play these games was something I wanted, and now I want to give back to this community by giving those same opportunities to others. In my games, we will have a Session 0 (for FREE!) to go over the technology, character creation, and safety tools. This also gives everyone a chance to connect to make sure that you feel comfortable playing with the people who joined the game. During gameplay, I explain the rules as we go through the adventure, provide suggestions on what characters can do in situations, set up epic moments to occur, bring non-player characters (NPCs) to life with voice acting and personalities, and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Overall, my games are heavy in combat, roleplay, and narrative. So if you enjoy games that have these elements, you'll enjoy my games. I look forward to being your Game Master and making TTRPGs fun for you!

Creating your character
We will use 5th Edition 2024 rules. Official sourcebooks are allowed. Ask about 3rd party content. Fixed Value HP for Hit Points and Point Buy or Standard Array for Ability Scores. Please create the characters in D&D Beyond and share the link with me. More details will be given in the Discord server.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use the following tools: - Discord for communication and video chat call - Owlbear Rodeo, a web-based Virtual Tabletop - D&D Beyond for character sheets Webcam is strongly recommended. At minimum, have a good microphone. I also ask that we play free from distraction as well. You can use virtual or physical dice
What Crit Hit The Giant brings to the table
I will provide sources on D&D Beyond, a Discord server, voices, and ambient music. I have a good balance of roleplay and combat that I provide.

How Crit Hit The Giant creates a safe table
We will have an extension in Owlbear Rodeo that allows you to use the X card whenever we approach something that makes you uncomfortable. This one shot will be a rated R Halloween themed session, which means that there will be elements of paranormal activity, horror, gore, insects, violence, language, etc.
