Faenor is an experienced and descriptive DM - but above all he is flexible and supportive. He wants to help the players build the world and experience it, and is very open to off-the-wall ideas and unusual requests (such as learning skills or a spell outside your usual restrictions, or custom magic items, or even things not even touched on in the usual game rules!). His games have plenty of room for what the players WANT to do, rather than what they are expected to do. Exploration, social encounters, combat, downtime for crafting/research/whatever is all on the table and are all in the mix in Faenor's games if the players want. I could go on - but this review really boils down to emphasizing how flexible and open-minded DMFaenor is when running games. If you have a character concept that doesn't nicely conform to molds, Faenor is a great DM to help you explore and realize what you want in an adventure!

Adam is great for both new players and experienced ones, and definitely encourages creativity and participation from all players. He's flexible and listens to what the players are interested in with just the right amount of guidance so we don't get too far off track in our dungeon delve. He puts a lot of work into prep, helping us design and develop our characters, and summarizing previous sessions. Definitely recommended! I do like the use of TaleSpire as the VTT (especially since you can now import your custom HeroForge figures) - but TaleSpire is still in early access and has a few annoyances and bugs that will hopefully be ironed out soon.

This was one of my first online D&D games, and my first with a DM I didn't know. But Evan made me feel welcome right away and actively encouraged participation in a natural way. Not only was Evan skilled at describing the various troubles our characters had gotten themselves into, but he also made great use of the maps, visual aids, and ambient music on Roll20 to really make the adventure come to life. He also played the big bads very cleverly and certainly didn't hold back - be ready! Overall a highly recommended DM that I'd love to play with again in the future!
