About the adventure
You: The Have-Nots, the poor, the outsiders. But above all, those who believe magic is a universal right, not the exclusive rights of the Haves. Concept: A fantasy Victorian-like London/Paris/New York where gas and electric technology has been replaced by expensive magi-sci. Processed, controlled, and above all, OWNED magic. Natural, ancient practices of magic are oppressed and illegal. Aims: A weekly game that takes the characters from level 1 to 10, perhaps toppling a cruel regime in the process. Tone, Themes, and Touchstones: Tone and themes will be agreed on at Session Zero, but may include struggles against fascism. Celebrating old and new folk culture and more. Touchstones will include Bloodborne, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Sherlock Holmes and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and many Hammer Horror classics. Subjects: Lines and veils will be discussed at session zero. Campaign Mechanics: A secrete police with magic sensitivity serve the King. They comb the streets for illegal uses of magic. When a character make a Spellcasting rolls with Fear, a count down clock starts. If the character is still on the scene when the count down finishes, the secret police show up and the danger escalates dramatically! Feel free to message me about any questions! Void character classes etc are welcome. I may or may not allow transformation cards, but it will be a development in story, not to start. I do not welcome AI Gen art or writing, but if you need help finding character art or building interesting characters, you don’t need to turn to AI, myself and our fellow players are here to help!

About me
I've been gaming and running games for over thirty years, and been a professional freelancer and indie designer for over twenty. (Sentences like this sometimes makes one question their life choices.) I also spent almost ten years teaching English as a second or foreign language from kindergartners to conversation seeking adults as well as for those who had professional needs. Classroom management is a little easier than herding cats, and that's just a little easier than GMing strangers, and I've got the chops for all three. (Ask me for pictures of my cats.) I'm a lover of all the wildest indie games out there, and I've written for a bunch of traditional games you know and love. Hit me up, whatever game you love, I might be able to run it for you. If you want an idea of how I run my own game, #iHunt, here's an actual play with the AMAZING crew of the Critshow! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb9QudaBHls Hit me up, and let's get you gaming!

Creating your character
We'll use Demiplane's character builder for ease of getting started! If you have any trouble with that, get in touch! I can probably help! (You should be able to build your character with a free account!)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
As mentioned, you'll need a free account with Demiplane and Discord. That's it!
What F Young brings to the table
I'll set the mood of a intrigue and mysterious fantasy adventure I'll provide maps, challenges, and a cast of characters, and plenty of drama to keep you on your feet! Since its release, I have run dozens of games of Daggerheart, as much as a teacher of the game as a GM. So I'm here to help you learn and love this game the way I do!
Homebrew rules
Mostly rules as written, but I will allow some "Void" (play testing material). No transformation cards to start.

How F Young creates a safe table
We'll use a redlight-greenlight system while playing together to protect your enjoyment at the table and avoid topics that will make things un-fun for everyone! I'll explain all that in detail in Session 0! We'll be using the CATS method with session zero to cover everything from themes, subjects to touch on or to leave off screen and feel enthusiastic about the game!
