Creating your character

Characters start at level 4 using my heroic array Make a character that delights you and your friends at the table. Have fun, be creative, ask for help if you need it! You can come to the table with a character concept, pick a pregenerated characer, or if you like I will help you create a character that will be fun to play. We can work together to pick species, class, and abilities to match your playstyle and preferences in session zero or one-on-one meetings. You can create your character using nearly anything from: WOTC published content with the world of Eberron in mind. GM Eric V doesn't have a ban list, if its in the 24 rules or expanded content published by wizards, you are good to go.

Preparing for the session

• A relatively modern computer capable of running web-based programs (8-16MB Ram and Chrome or Firefox - no Safari) • Decent internet access • Good Audio input (a headset/good microphone - note speakers echo and on board mic's are hard to hear) • Discord (free download or browser-based) • DnDBeyond account (free, no need to purchase anything) • Forge account (free to create, needed for Foundry which is also free to you and web based)

Community! When you join we welcome you into a dedicated channel for the game and an active community center where you can talk in between sessions. Full Service! Question in between sessions? Need to chat about your character? Have mechanical questions? Eric is available for chats as needed via voice or text and makes themselves available as possible for their clients. Guest star program! Players can opt in to a roll to be notified of guest star opportunities to play PCs or NPCs at other tables as available. Player Exclusive invite to Eric-Con, a yearly community meet up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Experience! Eric has run a ton of games and done a LOT of improv over the years, that experience is leveraged to provide games that values spontaneity and variety. Consistency! Games run when scheduled and one shot content is available if we are missing players. (note if half or more players happen to be out we normally vote on skipping or running side content) Along with all that, you are going to get a fantastic game experience guaranteed. If you join us, play a game and don't like it, I'll refund your session price with no questions asked. For the game itself: If it has been published for Dungeons and Dragons 5th adition, chances are, Eric owns it. Expect years of knowledge and a sweet discord setup for tracking and journaling. RAW with a few exceptions, listed at onboarding. Player friendly options such as any class able to use a scroll, and a generous stat array + bonus feat in crafting characters.

How Eric V - House VanSingel creates a safe table

We leverage safety tools to promote a positive and safe place to play together. When you join, you affirm the following: "I wont attack other players or steal from them (PVP) and I will play a character who isnt explicity evil or selfish. I will respect the narrative consent of others and be a team player. I promise not to engage in problematic play and I will come to the table with a great attitude." This is a positive place that welcomes all and is a LGBTQ+ space. We will go over additional safety details in session 0, but make note Eric leverages the safety system based on the TTRPG Safety Toolkit using red, and yellow cards. ⚠️The campaign does not contain: sexual assault, racial prejudice, systemic racism, homophobia, or transphobia. ⛔Zero tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. This includes breaking safety and consent lines. We play games that emphasize emergent play - the kind of stuff that comes up when everyone "plays to find out" what happens next. If you come to the table in good faith and ready to roleplay at your comfort level, you are going to have a good time. One of GM Eric V's guiding principles is to create the space for you to be yourself and have a great time. Over the years I find that the folks who have the best time are looking for an experience that values roleplay, enjoys (or is willing to learn improv), and likes to flex character abilities in combat in equal measure.
