About the adventure
(Thumbnail art drawn by me!) Have you ever wanted to play an officially published adventure but never quite found that playgroup or host who would run it? Well, I have a proposition for you. This table is for a group of players to join and decide on any officially published adventure to play through, hosted by yours truly. I will create the game and host for the table at the allocated time slot, providing a weekly exit from everyday life and into the world of fantasy. From the old tales of the Tyranny of Dragons, to the newest adventures of Vecna's Eve of Ruin, anything is free game to be hosted. The choice is made at the start of session 0 after getting an understanding our each player's Lines & Veils, where we undergo character creation to be ready for Session 1's start to the campaign. If you are having some questions, that's perfectly understandable. Here's what to expect: - I allow homebrew and 3rd party content in my tables and host using the latest rules for the system, though am always open to changing things around to adhere to the group's wants. Session 0 is fundamental in understanding what kind of experience you are looking for! - Characters start at the adventure's starting level and I will host the adventure all the way through. It is useful to have at least an idea for a backup, just in case your character perishes early on in the adventure. - New and old players are welcome. If you've never played D&D before, I provide an experience that will help you both understand the system and have a good time playing the game. For experienced players, I am willing to give you a wonderful adventure tailored for you and your character, even tweaking aspects of it to fit your tastes! - Roleplay and combat are my forte, each adventure I host will be tweaked to offer the level of challenge the adventure promises and that the group desires. - In terms of experience, I have run most official content and am quick on the uptake when it comes to hosting 3rd-party content as well. I take preperation very seriously and spend hours on end on a weekly basis to get everything ready before a session. - I run my games through Roll20, using Discord for text updates and to host the voice calls for each session. If any of the official material lack in visuals, I often create my own maps and tokens to provide a more fun experience. All of my games also feature music, which helps immerse you in the campaign just a tad bit more! - First come, first served on this table. Reserve your seat while there is still space!

About me
Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to learn about me. I am GenerousHeal, otherwise known as Spyro, and I am a Game Designer by trade, got a nice piece of paper from a university that says so anyways. I am also a big fan of TTRPGs, with the most experience playing Dungeons & Dragons (5th edition), Pathfinder (both 1st and 2nd edition), Vampire: The Masquerade and Draw Steel! With D&D I have about seven years of experience to draw from, pathfinder about four years, Vampire three and Draw Steel only about a month since its release (released basically a month ago). I also wish to host more Final Fantasy XIV tabletop games, if anyone is interested- Beyond my tabletop experience alone, I mostly stream my D&D games over on Twitch and YouTube under the RuinousPathsDND account. If you wish to use those sessions to gage if I am a good fit for your gaming tastes, I suggest you have a look! YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0XCWUoCHxWd9VfsSdrsk-g (recommend checking the Live Streams tab for more recent sessions) Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/ruinouspathsdnd Last little thing about the games I will run here; they will be mostly published official content instead of homebrewed material. Changed to fit the needs of the playgroup of course but not deviating too much beyond that.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
We will host a session 0 during our first "official" session to undergo character creation and an introduction to the setting that the adventure takes place in. We will be all together in a discord voice call and using Roll20 to host the character sheets, though you can also use D&D Beyond to import the information from there by connecting the game with your D&D Beyond account if you are more familiar with it. Stats can be taken by a variety of ways, from pre-selected options, to point-buy or even rolling for them. It is important to note that this will be a group decision when it comes down to it, for game balancing purposes. All characters at the level appropriate set by the adventure, using the 2024 official rules for Dungeons & Dragons. If you wish to use any other material, it is good to tell me during session 0 and we can see what we can do. Homebrew is fair game, but also: - Unearthed Arcana content - 3rd party content - Custom / self-made content
What to expect
Preparing for the session
As mentioned, you will need a Roll20 and Discord account at minimum to play, where I will give you a link for both to join both the game and discord server respectively. Do not worry, they are both free to create and you won't need much beyond that, except: - a microphone - a headset Cameras are not necessary to participate in the game, though I've had players use them regardless for reactions. Up to player preference.
What GenerousHeal brings to the table
As for what I can provide: - I am an experienced GM who has hosted dozens upon dozens of short adventures in Adventurer's League (those who know will understand when I say I have hosted for kids multiple times). I have also run many games both on and off stream for friends for years, with campaigns lasting for years at a time. I know my way around th content to make it fun to play through and am certain you will have a great time on the ride. - I can do fairly good voice acting? I will leave you to be the judge of that, you can check out our streams for that kind of insight! (excuse my microphone quality, sometimes Streamlabs decides to be really annoying about it >:T) - I provide music! Usually tracks play on Roll20 or Discord to provide ambience, or a nice combat track to accompany encounters, social or tactical ones. - I am a Rules as Written DM first but am not above allowing for cool ideas to fly past the rules, provided it is for special occassions. Enforcing the rules makes for the moment they break to feel more special.... or when the rules are really dumb. Who designed mounted combat like this?- - The difficulty of encounters depends on what kind of adventure the party are looking for. The difficulty of the adventure also depends on the same thing, where I can prepare the content in a way to appeal to the party's desires, either running it as is, making things more difficult for a gritty experience or mellowing out the tougher parts for the adventure for a story-focused exploration. - If you have more questions as to how I run my games, feel free to ask me during Session 0!
Homebrew rules
My homebrew rules usually are chosen by the party during session 0. Some rules I do have beyond what 2024 offers are for example: - Dropping to 0 Hit Points causes a character to also take 1 level of Exhaustion to simulate the danger of battle and the difficulty of prolonged combat. Penalties from exhaustion do not apply on Death Saving Throws. All levels of Exhaustion are removed upon the end of a Long Rest. - Sorcerers can use Spell Points instead of Spell Slots as designed in the 2014 system to allow for more differentiation between spellcaster archtypes. And more are available, depending on the play experience you are looking for.
