About the adventure
In the far away world of Everden, on the eastern coast of a great continent, lies a vast forest nestled between the mountains and the sea. This is the Humblewood, an ancient and magical place that hums an endless song, sung to the Great Rhythm of life and death. The Wood, as it is known to its inhabitants, is not like any other forest. The trees are old and powerful, with rare specimens that reach as tall as small mountains. Here familiar beasts grow to unusual sizes, bearing markings and patterns unique to the Wood. This region is also home to two groups of animal-like humanoid races, the birdfolk and the humblefolk. Together they share the Wood and its bountiful resources. But will they be able to come together when it means the most? Is the sudden infernal incidents of the woods just cruel nature, or something much much more? - Humblewood Source Book

About me
Hi, I'm Max! I started being aware of what D&D was in the early 2000's when I was a young kid - A long time family friend house had a whole room dedicated to D&D games, miniatures, figures, and anything else you could think of - and I was hooked instantly. I was always a huge make-believer as a kid, and this was right up my alley. I started getting a better grasp and consistent in middle school (about 2017-2018) and it blossomed much much bigger when I hit high school a few years later. I was one of the founding members of my high school D&D club, and was a player in multiple of my friends games - as well as running a few of my own! Like most people I think I love fantasy, for the escape from the real world that it is - but also for how much of the world I can bring over into it. I love the build up of the story, the characters arcs taking place, and the way you can build realistic yet fantastical lives that feel like a true part of you. I would call myself a pretty intermediate knowledge TTRPG Player and GM, but I am always up to learning and getting better at my craft! No AI, no generated interactions, all humans and all human made.

Creating your character
You can create your character either alone or with my help before the start of the campaign, and then we can go over the details either together one on one or as a group in session 0 when we go over each player and their characters to best balance each other out! You will need access to the source book for game specific races, and the material for your characters background and such - Which I will also provide to you! Roll for stats is my preferred method for starting at 1st level, your starting level will be 1st, and you can create your characters in D&DBeyond with my ‘share content’ on as the DM so you can use the humblewood races and such! I will also be sending you a google form of all the information I need from you, and others I may or may not need :]
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Things you will need: Discord, Mic/Headphones, D&DBeyond account, and some way to take notes/access dice Add me @ x.p1nk.d4wg.x on discord to be added to the dndbeyond campaign and the discord server!
What Max brings to the table
I will be doing voices and providing the ambiance for the gameplay! Just bring headphones and your devices to have some way to see the map (if you need to, I will control your character just for my own reference but It’s not required if you can keep up without it) I will also be supplying a session by session re-cap and summary for everyone to have access to :]
Homebrew rules
The source rules as laid out in the Humblewood and D&D 5E will be what I follow besides rule of cool! (I also take a lot of inspo from TAZ and D20 dropout)
