About the adventure
This game is scheduled for Sunday afternoons (2 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. UK / 8 p.m. CET), making it accessible to both North American and European players. If you’ve been searching for a long-term Masks table that respects your time and welcomes players from around the world new and experienced, this is it. The world trembles beneath ancient powers. Whispers echo in forgotten tombs, secrets rot in colonial cities, and cults gather to awaken something vast and inhuman. This is Masks of Nyarlathotep, the legendary campaign of global horror and despair. But unlike most campaigns, we won’t simply begin in New York. We’ll start with the Peru prequel—and continue with a bespoke Director's Cut-style version of the campaign. Peru is the perfect introduction for new players, and a foreshadowing treat for veterans. Characters forged in Peru may continue into the main Masks campaign, or you may create new ones once the global nightmare begins. From there, the journey spans continents—New York, London, Cairo, Shanghai—each location steeped in danger, mystery, and the creeping hand of Nyarlathotep. Your investigators will face cults, conspiracies, and horrors that defy comprehension. Every clue you uncover will pull you deeper into the web of the Mythos, until you must decide what you’re willing to sacrifice to stop the end of the world.

About me
🎲 “Hold on, let me roll Persuasion first… success!” Hello, I’m Tyler — a storyteller, designer, and lifelong gamer with decades of experience behind the screen. My players describe me as Immersive, Supportive, and Masterful. I’ve guided hundreds of players through unforgettable games at conventions, on streams and podcasts, and in home campaigns across North and South America. I’ve collaborated with publishers like Onyx Path, Free League, Chaosium, and Helmgast, and I’m also a published writer and designer with credits in both indie and professional TTRPG projects. Whether it’s your first session or your hundredth, my goal is always the same: create a safe, inclusive space where your story matters. I invite you to explore my reviews and join a game to see why so many players return to my tables again and again.

Creating your character
We’ll create characters together in Session 0 (free). You can bring a concept—professor, journalist, detective, antiquarian—or use one of the pregenerated characters provided. Investigators created in Peru can continue into the main Masks campaign, or you can craft new ones once we transition into the global story.
We’re building a table of 3–6 investigators who want more than just rolling dice—players who love mysteries, enjoy unraveling conspiracies, and thrive in roleplay-heavy horror. The Peru prequel is beginner-friendly, so you don’t need any prior Call of Cthulhu experience. Veterans will enjoy how the prologue enriches the full Masks arc.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need is a microphone and the willingness to dive into cosmic horror. Foundry VTT runs in your browser—no purchase necessary. Discord is used for voice and coordination. Session 0 is free.
What Tyler brings to the table
I’ll bring a fully prepped Foundry VTT with immersive maps, detailed handouts, and period-appropriate soundscapes. Every session begins with a recap, and I provide written summaries afterward so you’ll never feel lost, even if you miss a session or two due to real life. Pregenerated investigators are available, and I’ll walk new players through character creation step by step.
Homebrew rules
We’ll use Call of Cthulhu 7e mechanics with Pulp features available for players who want a bit of extra resilience. Push rolls, Luck spends, and fail-forward pacing ensure investigations stay sharp and engaging. Death, madness, and scars are part of the story, but player choice always matters most.

How Tyler creates a safe table
Before play, you’ll receive a Lines & Veils form to set personal boundaries. During sessions, we’ll use X, N, and O cards to check in, and Session 0 will cover expectations. I also offer aftercare and debriefing as needed. Horror should thrill, not harm.
