About the adventure
The King Omund is dead. Vasloria burns in chaos beneath the boot of Ajax the Invincible. A tyrant cloaked in righteousness, he is fueled by a chilling vision: a kingdom of only humans, broken and obedient. In this adventure you and your allies, already folk heroes in your own right, will rise to defy a would-be Saint. Journey through hostile dwarven lands, elven forests steeped in mistrust, and dungeons teeming with ancient, forgotten nightmares. Confront Ajax's iron-fisted barons to ignite the fires of rebellion! --------- This will be a level 1-10 adventure, letting players explore the full depth of MCDM's new system! Draw Steel offers a holistic, tactical approach to combat, made to make YOU feel like a hero. It pulls no punches, but neither will you! There will also be lots of opportunity for the usual campaign shenaniganry for you and the party to get into. Flights of social intrigue, ancient mysteries to unravel, and the usual sitcom moments you find in a delightful fantasy world. This campaign will be inspired by such works as: Deltora Quest, Final Fantasy Tactics, and The Witcher. And, of course, Draw Steel's own brilliant setting.

About me
🦎 He/Him 🦎 StartPlaying's resident roleplay expert, with over a decade of experience performing, directing, and teaching theatrical improvisation. Based out of Montréal, Québec. Aside from running RPGs, I also offer roleplaying workshops and coaching sessions. If you would like to commission a session for you and/or your players and/or other GMs, please DM me. Or keep an eye out for my free webinars! I'm also a published children's author. I run weekly volunteer games for neurodivergent youth. I can play the piano and ukulele. I beat the final boss in Elden Ring. My favourite apple is Mcintosh. If you enjoy a bit of humour and a focus on growing your character and the world around your character, we're going to be like two peas in a pod. Or two goblins in a cave. Or two owls on a branch. Or two bananas in one peel - which is quite rare, but can happen.

Creating your character
Characters will be built together using Forge Steel, then ported over to Foundry. If you're joining after Session 0, I'll onboard with you so we can build a character together!
Currently level 1! We have a Null, a Fury, and a Troubadour. By joining this game, you affirm: - You're a cool person and won't engage in any transphobia, ableism, misogyny, racism, etc. - You're down for an epic, with lots of crunch and lots of melodrama, where you're the Hero - You want to nerd out over fun system mechanics
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a Discord account and ForgeVTT account. It might be good to read up on potential characters before we make one, as there are many options for each!
