About the adventure

The fire is out. That should have been the end of it. Instead, there are more questions than answers. The Elemental has fallen. The forest still stands. But something pushed the scholar Odwald down this path, and nobody has figured out what yet. • Follow the trail Old journals. Strange research. Pieces of a story that don't quite fit together. • Travel across Humblewood Recovering villages. Forgotten ruins. Places most folks would rather leave alone. • Meet a forest trying to heal The fires are gone, but the damage remains. Communities are rebuilding. Some wounds take longer than others. • Build bonds that matter Friends. Rivals. Mentors. The people who helped save the Wood still have stories of their own. • Uncover what was hiding in the shadows Odwald wasn't the beginning. He was only part of something larger. • The deeper you look, the stranger things get Whispers. Missing answers. Signs that someone, or something, may have been pulling strings from the start. The Wood has been saved. Now it's time to find out who almost destroyed it. And whether they're truly gone. [[Beginner & LGBTQIA2S+ Friendly]] ------------------------------------------- 📣See what Erin has to say about my GM'ing: "Leland is a fantastic DM. They're enthusiastic about every game they run and clearly want every single one of their players to enjoy their time with him and experience a successful campaign. I initially played Monster of the Week with him as a way to dip back into playing with a group and eventually played (and am currently playing in) my first DnD campaign with Leland as DM. He's patient and encourages questions and all the silliness that comes with role-playing games. You genuinely couldn't ask for a better DM!"

About me

Hey everyone, I’m Leland. Some of y’all probably know me online as Leopold the Just. I’ve been obsessed with tabletop RPGs since the early 2000s and somehow still love this hobby just as much now as I did back then. Outside of GMing, I’m usually at concerts, playing board games, getting lost in strategy games and RPGs, camping, traveling, trying good food, wandering through museums and aquariums, or planning my next tattoo. As a GM, I lean hard into strange mysteries, creepy places, emotional roleplay, and NPCs that stick with people long after the session ends. Some games feel cozy. Some feel awful in the best way possible. Sometimes both happen in the same night. If you like character-driven stories and worlds that react to what you do, you’ll probably fit in just fine at my table. --- What to expect at my table and in the community: • Story-first sessions with a big focus on character growth and roleplay • Fast, cinematic combat that stays tense and easy to picture • A world that reacts to what you say and do • Group storytelling and shared worldbuilding where your choices leave marks behind • A relaxed, inclusive space where people can show up as themselves • $5 community one-shots for active members that mix players from different campaigns together • Community hangouts outside the games too: video game streams, board game nights, watch parties, and more! So pull up a virtual chair and let’s tell some stories together!

Character creation

Creating your character

We will create characters together during s0! If you join after s0, then I (the DM) will send you the character creation parameters via discord and discuss things with you before you begin the process. [All classes & races in the Humblewood book are open to pick, as well as any official DND races that are anthropomorphic animals, or any third party options I own. You may use Roll20's charactermancer or DNDbeyond. Humanoid animal options only!]

The current party
