About the adventure
Pathways to Adventure is my independently developed TTRPG. It is a high fantasy system designed for both brand new players and seasoned veterans. The primary design goals are to maximize player agency, have streamlined rules, and a swift, approachable character creation process. PTA provides players with a huge list of options, but with only a few choices being made at a time. Characters are made by selecting from 30 Ancestries (race), 30 Backgrounds (what you did for coin), and 30 Classes (what you will do going forward). To keep level 1 easy to jump into the game, there are no stat selections or randomized elements at level 1. Customization happens starting at level 2, so that players can make informed decisions about their choices. As such, character creation often takes as little time as 15 minutes. The rules-lite system of PTA is designed to be learned in around half an hour for brand new TTRPG players, and significantly shorter for veterans of the genre. The game places heavy emphasis on player cooperation to maximize the impact the party has in combat and other scenarios. Players take simultaneous turns, enabling them to combine their actions and movement as they see fit: A stout Warrior Challenges a giant to make it face away from the party, the dashing Bard Empowers its allies with a powerful song to enhance their damage, and then the cunning Rogue climbs up the giant's back to deliver a decisive backstab to the back of its neck for a devastating critical hit! The above is just one of the many examples of how players have coordinated their turns to unleash mayhem upon the battlefield. Get creative with your party and see just how far you can push the system!

About me
Indie Game Developer of Pathways To Adventure, a TTRPG with 30 Classes and over 200 Abilities, including martial combat Maneuvers. Professional DM with 6 years of experience, 2 years of which have been spent running my own homebrew campaigns of Lost in Paradice and Paradice Lost. In 2022 I ran 4-hour weekly in-person sessions for 4 to 5 groups of players, ranging in size of 4 to 9 players each. In Paradice, all groups participate asynchronously in reality, but their characters exist simultaneously in the universe. My past year of players played in Paradice together with interwoven storylines and collaborative (well, usually!) goals they struggled hard to achieve together! We even merged groups for huge Raid events against the most powerful forces in the setting, and they went very well! Streams of two raids can be provided upon request. One event had 31 participants and was quite a spectacularly fun session. I hope that you, too, may someday become Lost in Paradice to rediscover the special fun and excitement of last year's cohort!

Creating your character
Character creation is simple and takes less than 20 minutes, with choices between 30 Ancestries, 30 Backgrounds, and 30 Classes! Characters can be made during the session or in a one on one private session prior to the game.

Digital messages to the GM to aid in privately discussing any issues that arise during the sessions. ⚔️ Players can expect a balanced but exceedingly challenging game that will rise to meet the party's potential! 🔱Player agency is my number one focus during this sandbox campaign. You choose your path and goals each session. 🔥 As an extension to the above, the Exploration Pillar of gameplay will be a heavy focus of this campaign. 👪 Collaboration and bonding between players will be pivotal in surviving and thriving in this unforgiving land. Consider working with your allies to develop builds and strategies so that together you all become stronger! 👀 While I enjoy helping players learn to roleplay their characters, it is absolutely not required.
