About the adventure
This game takes place in the vast space of The Timescape, the default setting for Draw Steel, MCDM's flagship TTRPG. 400 years ago, your former leader, Gulch the Cowardly, sold your services to a Psychic Space Beast of unknowable cosmic power called The One and Only. As the last act of the still free crew, Gulch was tossed into the endless void of The Timescape. Moments later, the psychic servants of The One and Only took over your ship. They pilot it where it needs to go, fix it when its broken, and give you your missions. You hope one day it'll be enough to be a free company once again, but until that day comes, you are all simply The Host, having had your old company's name stolen from your minds the moment Gulch sold it off.

About me
I am a DM with 8 years of tabletop roleplaying experience. I have DMed D&D 5e, Challenger, Fantasy Flight Star Wars, Open Legend, and others. Right now, I am also an indie TTRPG creator, and I wanted to branch out into the somewhat similar field of paid DMing

Creating your character
Character creation will be done at the start of the first session. Because we will be using the Forge Steel character creator, it won't take too long. For about a week leading up to the first session, i will have an open Google Doc for players to add their Lines (things that they refuse to have in this game) and Veils (things that can exist, but "off screen")
What to expect
Preparing for the session
If you want to check out the Forge Steel website to get a basic idea of what you want to play, you can feel free to do that. Otherwise, just come to the session with a willingness to learn the system if you don't already know it.
What Hypnos brings to the table
I am a roleplay DM (or director as Draw Steel calls it) first and foremost. I do roleplay in 1st person, however, I do not do voices necessarily. I may change my tone or word choice, but I will not be doing accents or anything of the sort. I do not have a problem with them if you choose to do them, however. I am putting together Youtube playlists of ambient fantasy and space fantasy music to suit different moods that I can use to help set the scene I am attempting to describe. When it comes to combat, I am a rules first, Rule of Cool 2nd type of Director. I'll help you find a way to do the cool thing you want to do, but if the rules are absolutely against it, there's probably no way around it.

None for the moment as I don't believe the system has been out long enough for me to make a judgement on what needs to be changed.

How Hypnos creates a safe table
i will have a living Lines and Veils document that can be added to at any point in the game, and I will also be operating with the X Card rule. If at any point you private message me an X, I will simply say that a player (without naming who it was) has done so and we will be moving on from the scene in question.
