About the adventure

🪽Among the Wax and Wildfire🪽FF, Skyrim, and AoT-inspired Game! Igmund Ignatius rallies his bannermen and flees to the unsettled north, having lost faith in their country's ability to prevail in their ongoing war. His legions regain respect fighting against famine and the elements, while the mountains loom over them. They establish markers of their progress, reminders of those that did not have the will to continue further. Eventually those that push furthest alongside their new king develop a zeal toward his Defiance against the cruel north. However, as the eternal winter begins to recede, the land seems to respond in kind, the collective will of Igmund's soldiers stirring slate-scaled drakes who dwelled dormant within the mountains' blizzards. The towers of man blaze like beacons—candles in the night—standing strong against the insurmountable odds. But Igmund's precious candles begin to weep their wax. Trust begins to simmer. Can winter steel fend off molten fang and talon? What secrets are being kept to keep up the facade that man stands a chance? Just what have they Defied? "Wax & Wildfire" is a long-term campaign set in an overarching homebrew world. This setting in particular is inspired by the high-fantasy storytelling of Dragonlance, blended with the grittier low magic of House of the Dragon. Maybe you yourself are a member of the Defiance, or a settler wanting to make a life in this newly reclaimed country. Perhaps you are intrigued by the prospect of Thaumaturgy and Dragonfire and the possibilities the mountain secrets hold. The campaign will have a large focus on overland travel, minor politics, and large scale aerial combat!
