Creating your character

We will work together to build you into the world. We will start with some roll-light RP of your backstory. We can use the Mystic Grove session zero system for building together the backstories.

Preparing for the session

Discord is required. If you do not have TalesSpire you can view it via my discord stream, But it is much better with TaleSpire. We can make a character together or you can bring a character or idea you have. You don't need to use DnD beyond but it is recommended. You can use dice from home, My Discord dice bot, or DnD beyond. It should go without saying but we are LGBT+ & BIPOC Inclusive. If you are not an A**hole you are welcome. <3

How Billdow00 creates a safe table

Safety and comfort are paramount in The Omni Corpus. To ensure a positive and inclusive gaming experience for everyone, we utilize several safety tools and practices: Lines and Veils Document: Before the game begins, I will send out a "Lines and Veils" document to all players. This document helps outline the boundaries for our game - 'Lines' are things that players absolutely do not want to encounter in the game, while 'Veils' are elements that can be included but will not be described in detail. Each player is encouraged to contribute to this document anonymously. This helps in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Session 0: Our initial meeting, Session 0, is dedicated to setting expectations, discussing the game's tone, and going over the safety tools we'll use. This session is crucial for establishing group dynamics, discussing character creation, and ensuring that everyone is comfortable with the game's content and each other. Aftercare: After each session, we'll have a brief period where players can discuss their feelings about the session, providing an opportunity for decompression and feedback. This is crucial for maintaining a positive group dynamic and addressing any concerns or emotional impacts from the game. X, N, & O's: We'll use the X, N, and O cards system: X Card: If something in the game is making a player uncomfortable, they can hold up an X card (or message 'X' if playing digitally), and the game will pause to address the issue. N Card: The N (or 'No') card can be used to veto an idea or direction in the game without needing to provide an explanation. O Card: The O (or 'Okay') card signifies that the player is comfortable with the current course of the game. These will be available both physically for in-person sessions and digitally for online play. Players can use these tools discreetly at any time.
