Beast Feast
The Lure within Plover Caves has always kept Elmore safe... until now! As monsters rise to the surface, it's up to the party to find out what happened
About the adventure
Set in the Beast Feast campaign frame for Daggerheart, all players are welcome on this fun, wacky adventure of monster hunting and dungeon delving! This campaign is heavily inspired by Dungeon Meshi and Monster Hunter. You'll start as fresh hunters, Level 1, who need to delve deep within the giant Plover Caves to find a hidden Lure at the bottom to find out why monsters have been coming to the surface. The game will include a cooking mechanic and rewards creativity! The group should be a very warm, inviting atmosphere, and we're all here to tell a story and have fun!

About me
Hello! The name's Jon, but you can call me Choco or Grimm. I've been playing Dnd 5e for about five years, and GMing for a little over 2 years. My passion is entertaining people and making them laugh and telling amazing stories. I'm very much a nerd and will make all kinds of dumb references to movies, anime, and video games. I like to experiment with various mechanics to spice up the game. I'm also trying to learn Pathfinder 2e, but it's a slow process. I'm very welcoming, open, and accepting. I do my best to make everyone comfortable and respect boundaries to the best of my ability. I pride myself on making lovable npcs and providing an intricate world. I generally run things on Roll20 VTT and use Discord for voice chat, and I do my best to provide ambient music and sounds for the most immersive experience. I have a homebrew campaign I'd be happy to run, as well as multiple oneshots. I also love teaching new players. All I ask is that you have an open mind, respect everyone's time, and come ready to laugh.

Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Knows the Rules
Sets the Mood
Jon is a wonderful GM. He's a great storytelling and knows how to create an inviting atmosphere for those playing with him for the first time. He's very mindful of player decisions and choices, and I certainly felt our party's accomplishments had meaning in the broader story and world. And as a paid GM, I have to give Jon props for knowing when to keep the pace moving. I've played with paid GMs before that often leave the players in awkward silence as we do our best to roleplay, but that has never been an issue with Jon in my experience. Overall, I highly recommend signing up for a game with Jon whether you're a new player or old! I'm certainly looking forward to my next campaign with him.
My sessions with Jon have all been positive experiences so far. He is a very nice and considerate person who strives to make the games as enjoyable as possible while also being accommodating to what you want to try out. He ensures that people are given a break and time to refresh and ensures everyone at the table is treated equally and find enjoyment.
Character creation
Creating your character
We'll go over character creation at the free Session 0. Starting at level 1. Once you join the Roll20, join the Demiplane group so I can give access to the Core rules! You're free to make your character before, but I think it's best to build them together.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a Discord for voice, and a Roll20 account linked to Demiplane
What Jon brings to the table
Discord server, Roll20, and core rulebook. I like to play ambient music, do my best character voice, and get into the story. My main goal is to make my players feel something. I want us all to laugh, cry, laugh some more, and make you hate the villains. I want everyone to have as much fun as possible.

How Jon creates a safe table
At session 0, we will outline all the rules of respect, and set the hard and soft limits. If we ever have a problem with the group, I'll either stop the session there, or after the session, we'll all have a talk to discuss the problems in the group.
