About the adventure
Steel clashes, horns blare, and a crimson mist creeps over the treetops. You and your allies arrive at Ironspine Keep just in time to answer a desperate call. A rising evil has sent an army to claim the fortress—and with it, a foothold into the heart of the realm. The defenders are few, the walls are strained, and the enemy grows bolder by the hour. Will you take your place on the battlements and face what’s coming? This one-shot Dungeons & Dragons adventure is a fast-paced, action-packed defense mission where strategy, teamwork, and bravery matter. You'll choose which part of the fortress to protect, fend off waves of monstrous attackers, uncover hidden sabotage, and ultimately face a terrifying warlord in the shadow of siege engines and dark magic. Expect thrilling combat, dramatic moments, and a chance to shape the tide of battle. Set in a gritty fantasy world on the edge of civilization, the theme blends war drama with creeping supernatural horror. While combat is central, there’s room for roleplay, clever thinking, and decisive heroism. This game is perfect for players who enjoy epic last stands, tense battlefield moments, and uncovering sinister plots behind the chaos. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or newer to D&D, this session is designed to be exciting, accessible, and memorable. Come ready to hold the line—and make legends of your names.

About me
New DM. Big imagination. Your story matters. Hi! I’m Spencer, a newer Dungeon Master who’s deeply passionate about storytelling, worldbuilding, and giving players a space to explore their characters, choices, and consequences. While I’m still early in my DM journey, I’ve already run multiple one-shots with a variety of players—and I’m now stepping into running longer-form campaigns with rich character arcs and evolving storylines. I focus on roleplay, emotional stakes, and world immersion. My games lean into character-driven stories, moral choices, and player creativity, while still keeping the rules in mind. I’m not here to show off—I’m here to help you tell a meaningful story and have fun doing it. What to Expect: A welcoming, flexible DM who listens and adapts Safe, inclusive games with open communication Story-focused sessions with opportunities for combat, exploration, and character development A homebrew world with unique factions, secrets, and mythologies (unless you would like to do a module set in a certain setting). I currently run games over DND Beyond maps, but willing to try a new platform, using Discord for communcation, and I’m always happy to do a Session Zero to create a shared vision and comfort for the group. Whether you’re new to D&D or a veteran looking for a thoughtful table, I’d love to run something for you. Let’s roll some dice and build something unforgettable.

Creating your character
Everyone will be using point buy to create their character. You can use the 2014 or 2024 rules. The Discord Server will have more details for this proccess.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure your character is made with a small backstory mainly to help you decide how your character will act. Then make sure to join the discord and the campaign in dnd beyond.
What Loaver brings to the table
We will be using DND Beyond for almost everything. We will use discord for communication. I have also bought a lot of dnd content and can share that with folks. I also love player creativity so if you want to try something I will try my best (within the rules) to see it out! I do have access to some well made maps and have been practicing making my own maps. If you know the DM Lair at all I have also bought a bunch of content from there and may use some of their sources in out campaign to help ensure high quality content for everyone! I am also going to look into making custom tokens for the custom enemies I have planned.

How Loaver creates a safe table
We will establish the premise of the campaign and some boundries for going forward. After this is done then we will make connections for our characters and have them all set to go. Depending on when this is complete we may even start the campaign. After each session I will make sure there is time to share any adjustments or critiques of how we can make the game more enjoyable. I am also always open to personal messages of how I can change the game to better suit everyone. I want everyone to have a good time!
