About the adventure
Legacy of Steel and Solace The year is 3240 and the galaxy is fractured. Three great powers dominate known space, locked in a tense cold war of ideology, espionage, and proxy conflict. The Imperium of Sol is a brutal empire ruled by Emperor Cassian XIV. It thrives on rigid hierarchy and military dominance. Every citizen has a place, and every rebel is a heretic. The Confederation of New Dawn opposes this vision with idealistic fervor. Formed in the ashes of rebellion, the Confederation champions digital democracy, radical transparency, and technological progress. But its bright future often conceals murky methods. The Hegemony of Ashur stands between them: a warrior state forged from conquest and survival. Governed by a council of warlords, it projects neutrality while secretly arming for the next inevitable war. Beneath its surface, a power struggle brews. At the heart of this precarious balance lies Ashar-4, a neutral trade world and diplomatic hub. Here, diplomats, mercenaries, smugglers, and idealists all converge under a fragile truce, trying to prevent the next great war—or profit from it. But shadows stir. Rogue factions chase forbidden technology. Cults whisper of cosmic silence. A hidden war is already being fought—in the back alleys of Hadiris, in the databanks of AI networks, and in the minds of those who’ve glimpsed something... impossible. You are members of a smaller mercenary company. Your contracts will put you between the agendas of nations, corporations, and nightmares. You may shape history. Or be erased by it. Suit up, pilot. What still floats, still fights.

About me
Hey everyone, I started my tabletop experience playing D&D with the lads. Over time, moved to GM'ing for them. Recently, I moved from D&D to another system, and I love learning them. I'm still relatively new, and would say I've only been GM'ing consistently for about 1 year.

Creating your character
Character Creation Process: Characters are created before Session 1 using the standard Lancer core rules. Players start at License Level 0 as fresh pilots joining the mercenary company. Tone Expectations: This is a morally complex campaign where you'll face difficult choices between competing interests. Your characters should be motivated by something beyond just money - survival, ideology, revenge, or personal codes work well. Expect corporate intrigue, war crimes, and situations where there are no clear "good guys." Session 0 will hash out more details to make sure everything is nice.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Reading the free rules would be appreciated, but not required. Players should have discord accounts, ready to be on call. Discord will be highly integrated into the campaign. Foundry will be used, but you will not require an account. Additional resources such as Retrograde Mini's, and CompCon will be used, but instructions of use will be provided on Session 0.
What Ben brings to the table
I try my best with character voices, but I am no voice actor. I will strive to have every scene filled with visual aides, battle maps, and music. This system lends itself well to tactical combat, and many encounters to test your skills will be presented. Prepare for a mix of combat, as well as interactive RP moments.
Homebrew rules
I don't use many homebrew rules, however the lore and setting is entirely homebrew.
