Creating your character
All character creation for Echoes of Rebellion will be handled during Session Zero. This dedicated session gives us the chance to collaborate on character ideas, align backstories, and set up connections within the group. It’s also a great time to ask questions and get comfortable with the rules and tools we’ll be using. There’s no need to worry about preparing a character ahead of time—just come ready to explore possibilities, and we’ll work together to bring your character to life!

Getting Ready to Join the Rebellion To prepare for Echoes of Rebellion, please follow these steps to ensure you’re ready for launch day: 1. Join Our Discord Server: Use the link provided to join our Discord server. This is where we’ll communicate, plan sessions, and build community. It’s also where you can ask questions and stay up-to-date on game news. 2. Register for Sqyre: Head over to Sqyre.com and register for a free account. Foundry will be our virtual tabletop, so having your account ready will ensure a smooth start. 3. Get Your Rulebook: A digital rulebook will be sent to you before Session Zero. Please take a look through it when it arrives—it will include everything you need to get familiar with the system and start thinking about your character. With these steps, you’ll be set to dive into the Star Wars universe and take your place among the brave heroes of the Rebellion!
What Rane brings to the table
For Echoes of Rebellion, we’ll be using Foundry VTT as our virtual tabletop, bringing this Star Wars adventure to life with immersive visuals, dynamic music, and interactive maps tailored to every encounter. Foundry has plenty of mods that enhance the storytelling experience, allowing players to dive deep into the Star Wars galaxy with a cinematic experience that goes beyond the basics. Once registered, you’ll receive links to our Discord server (for voice chat and community), Foundry (for the game space), and D&D Beyond (for character sheets and resources). These platforms together make gameplay smooth, engaging, and immersive. Foundry VTTs intuitive interface lets you focus on the story and action, so whether you’re a longtime Star Wars fan or new to the Rebellion, you’ll feel right at home.

How Rane creates a safe table
At The Death Save Society, we prioritize creating a safe and enjoyable experience for every player. To ensure that everyone feels comfortable and supported, we use several structured safety tools: • X Cards: At any time, players can tap the X Card to indicate they’d like to skip or avoid specific content, no questions asked. This helps keep the session fun and respectful of everyone’s boundaries. • Lines & Veils: Before we begin, we’ll establish Lines (content to be avoided entirely) and Veils (content to be handled with discretion). This allows us to craft an experience that suits everyone’s comfort levels from the start. • Regular Breaks: Long sessions can be intense, so we’ll have regular breaks to give everyone a chance to regroup, refresh, and refocus. These breaks also give players space to step away if a scene becomes particularly heavy. • Stars & Wishes: At the end of each session, we’ll share Stars & Wishes—a chance to highlight what you enjoyed (Stars) and express what you’d like to see more of or improve (Wishes). This open feedback helps tailor the experience to what you enjoy most. Your enjoyment, comfort, and safety are central to this game.
