About the adventure

In a strange land beneath a storm wracked sky, a lone figure stands atop a cliff, silhouetted against the crumbling walls of an ancient castle. Below, a forgotten village clings to the edge of the abyss, its rooftops barely visible through the swirling mists. A bitter wind howls through the night, scattering dead leaves at his feet and sending his cape snapping in the darkness. Lightning lances across the sky, momentarily illuminating his face once noble, now twisted by a sorrow deeper than the shadows around him. He turns his gaze skyward, and for a fleeting moment, there is a terrible grandeur in his expression. Power. And madness. But that... is not where our story begins. No, our tale starts far from that cliffside on a quiet forest road, where a group of weary adventurers makes its way toward an unfamiliar village, seeking only a warm bed and a bit of respite. The scent of spring hangs in the air, rich with damp earth and budding leaves. The forest hums with life: night birds call to each other in the canopy above, and crickets sing in the underbrush. A thick mist begins to creep between the trees, curling low and slow, as if drawn by unseen hands. Up ahead, a faint light glows a lantern swaying gently from the porch of a lone cottage. Perhaps there is shelter there. Perhaps warmth, a mug of ale, a hot meal. Maybe even friendly faces… and work enough to afford such luxuries. The road leads forward and so must you.

About me

Welcome, Adventurers! Thanks for taking a look at my adventures! I'm an experienced DM/GM with over 40 years of playing and running games under my belt. I absolutely love tabletop RPGs, and there's nothing I enjoy more than sharing that love by crafting unforgettable sessions. Dungeons & Dragons is a favorite of mine, and I bring that passion to every table I run. My goal is always to make the story leap off the page and help players fully immerse themselves in the world around them. While I respect the rules, the characters and story will always come first. It’s about having fun, sharing laughs, and letting the dice help tell the tale. Roll a natural 20? Expect something magical. Roll a 1? Well… it’ll still be magical, but probably not in the way you hoped. 😁 I'm especially passionate about helping new players find their footing, learn to roleplay, and get the most out of their game time. Not seeing the system you love? Just ask, I’m always open to new worlds and adventures. So jump on board and let me take you on a fantastic journey. Oh and don’t forget the snacks! I can’t wait to see you at the table.

I hadn't played since the 1980s, and Bo was absolutely the right DM for my reintroduction to the game. His campaigns are both rich and beginner-friendly, and I greatly appreciate his generous time spent outside the game to get newbies up to speed. I highly recommend him! It's been a while since I wrote the above review. I now play in two DnD 5e games with Bo as DM and enjoy it very, very much. The past two sessions, one in each campaign, have been over-the-top fun and I once again highly recommend taking your adventure with Bo!

BO is great - friendly, responsive, helpful. He always allows for and encourages player choice and creativity. Flexible with rules if it makes narrative sense and adds to the fun. Highly recommended.

“You’ve managed to pick the lock on the door of the tomb and slowly creeks open. You feel the immediate breeze of cold air. But it's not just the cold air of the dungeon – but also the chilling air of the undead! What do you do?” You know you have a good DM (and Bo without a doubt is) when you are contemplating your character and the predicament the party is in during non-gaming hours – or – maybe when you mind should be focused elsewhere. That’s how captivating his gaming environment is. Bo brings a game to life in a unique way – combining realism, the everyday & the realm of the imagination & the magical. Pure entertainment – and just a good time. So grab your halberd or wizards cap & join the fun. Brian F.
