About me

I'm an experienced DM/GM with over 40 years of playing and running games the last 1 and a bit years a Professional DM/GM on Startplaying. I love to play Dungeons & Dragons and other RPG's my enjoyment of the game comes across in my DM style, I like to make the story pop off the page and help the players to imagine the world they are immersed into. Having fun and a great laugh is what its all about and letting the dice help to tell the story is important to me, if you roll a 20 expect it to be a magical moment but then roll a 1 and its going to be just as magical a moment but maybe not just for your character. 😁 Rules are important but the characters experinece and the story will always come first. I have DM'd all the D&D rules systems and I have a good knowledge of most of the worlds that D&D is set in from Mystara to the Forgotten Realms using this wisdom to help players to explore their favourite realm and I love nothing more than to help a new player to learn roleplay games and get the most out of them. Having run a Tabletop and RPG gaming store in the past I have a fantastic knowledge of the different systems SCI-FI and Fantasy and can turn my hand to most realms of existence. If I’m not running one of the systems you know I can always find one you may wish to play. GM style

Fun friendly and light hearted gaming. Serious when needed with character voices even if some sound remarkably similar and a little 'Monty Python', But I try. I like to keep the adventure moving and the participation of the party member at the forefront of the adventure, I always try to be available in-between sessions to help with the upkeep of character sheets and upgrades so that the session is the adventure. I use the Virtual table top 'Owlbear Rodeo' when the dungeons get complex and to help in combat situations & D&D Beyond for 5th Edition character sheets. I follow the script of pre written adventures if asked to play them but I adapt where needed to keep things exciting. I focus on party fun though it is dangerous out there so don't expect to be helped to much to survive, its down to you. So sit back and let me take you on that adventure.
