About the adventure

“We stand on the precipice of change. The world fears the inevitable plummet into the abyss. Watch for that moment, and when it comes do not hesitate to leap. For it is when we fall we learn whether we can fly.” — Flemeth Invisible chains is a low level introductory adventure for the Dragon Age TTRPG. Taking place in the world of Thedas, the players will find themselves thrust into a plot of intrigue, treachery, and danger. From the slums of the once great elven city of Halamshiral, to the glowing streets of Val Royeaux, the chains of corruption run deep, and this is just the beginning! Players can expect a thriving world full of cogs and wheels already in motion and will have the opportunity to either break the current establishment or possibly join it. The bulk of this introductory adventure will take place in the country of Orlais in and between the cities of Halamshiral and Val Royeaux. After this adventure has concluded, we will jump right into the next module which will be a bit longer and more freeform. Session zeros will be free of charge and will go over both expectations, character creation, and tutorials and explanations for playing the game. Joining part way through the campaign is acceptable, but any player who joins within 24 hours of the session will have to wait until the next session to join, just for the sake of easing into the campaign.

About me

Hello future heroes! I have been Dungeon Mastering for close to 5 years now and have been playing TTGs for the past decade. DND5e is what I primarily use to enrapture my players into my worlds, but I am always up for learning the systems for other systems as well. My favorite thing as a DM is getting to see the characters the players create have genuine moments in the worlds that I spin, it really is a feeling like no other. That being said I absolutely love when my players go wild with the roleplay, but have an equal amount of joy when they immerse themselves in the combat. Overall I am fairly "Laissez Faire" with how players want to progress and interact with the world around them, so long as everyone at the table is onboard with the direction. Overall my campaigns offer opportunities for both role-players and combat aficionados to enjoy themselves and I am always open to communicating with players on any subject that they have about the game or DND in general.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be the final part of the session zero. During character creation, players will be able to view several fully made character sheets as a reference to help see what the end result should look like. During this there will be step by step instructions and examples on how not only to properly make a character, but also to play the game if needed. We will be creating said characters and sheets in Roll20.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will require a mic for communication since the primary platform we will be using is Discord. Webcams are not required but can be used if the players feel the need to. No prior knowledge will be required, but will be heavily encouraged to speed up game time, but any and all questions will be answered no matter what. I highly reccomend looking up the setting of the world beforehand to become familiar with the world but all of that will be handled in the session zero. What Aveio A. brings to the table

I create the vast majority of my maps so there will be a quality of passion behind my work that I feel players will appreciate. On top of this I can provide documents and links for players to help familiarize themselves with the setting. Also currently I have many artists to recommend the players to if they want their character portraits more specialized. As a bonus some of these artists are willing to offer discounts for any player I refer to them.
