About the adventure

This mash-up of twelve original DnD adventures from the B and X series forms a campaign path that takes the characters from level 1 to 14. This classic campaign path starts with the original Red Box introductory adventure and follows that with Night's Dark Terror, Horror on the Hill, Keep on the Borderlands, and Skarda's Mirror before expanding into Master of the Desert Nomads, The Curse of Xanathon, Red Arrow Black Shield, and other X series adventures. This high magic science fantasy campaign is inspired by Sword and Planet Adventure fiction such as John Carter of Mars, Krull, Conan, Lensman, Flash Gordon, Dune, Star Wars, Thundarr, He-Man, Hawk the Slayer, Death Stalker, Mad Max, Heavy Metal Magazine, and the classic DND adventure setting, Mystara. *Magic items are cheap, common, and disposable. *Most creatures have magical or supernatural abilities *The time period or Progress Level is roughly equal to real world history of the 15th century. * Advanced Steam punk tech (including power armor) from a lost, ancient civilization is available * Alien creatures *Interplanetary travel aboard magical, psychically powered spaceships (Vimanas) STYLE OF PLAY This game is for players who like skill challenges, high magic, battling strange creatures, and saving the solar system from a diabolical villain! SHARED CONTENT My Shared Content Library includes: *The 2024 PHB *Xanathar's Guide to Everything *Tasha's Caldron of Everything *A growing collection of Homebrew content

About me

I started playing AD&D in 1984 with my dad and his friends. As a teen, I played constantly. I launched my D20 publishing company in 2002 and have since written more than 80 top-selling titles on DriveTruRPG. What You Can Expect: *A fast-paced game with plenty of skill challenges and interesting combat scenarios. *Difficult situations that can be overcome with luck, skill, and bravery. *Mature elements and themes.

Character creation

Creating your character

You can create a character on DnDBeyond. We will discuss the details before hand in messages or session 0.

The current party

The party currently consists of a bard, a barbarian, a fighter/wizard, and a Monk. But we also have a large list of pre-gens and alternate characters that we can swap out with.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need: A free Discord account A working mic A free account on Roll20 A free membership to DnDBeyond

What P.C. Graves brings to the table

I try to provide a fun, casual, democratic game. I usually have 7 to 9 encounters prepared for a session. Some encounters are skill oriented, some are story/roleplaying oriented, and some are combat oriented. I sometimes use AI to illustrate scenes from the game.

Homebrew rules

This campaign will feature some new rules for existing magic items (pricing and charges), new magic items, new playable species, and new equipment.

Safety

How P.C. Graves creates a safe table

I try to keep the atmosphere light, friendly, casual and fun. While some campaigns I run tend to be more gritty or disturbing (R-Rated), I plan for this one to be more PG oriented.
