About the adventure
Every year during the winter solstice, two former adventurers withdraw to their Feywild mansion of Paliset Hall to throw a lavish gala. Many fey and magical guests from across the Feywild are expected to attend this magnificent occasion. You will be there too, but not as an honored guest, and not as yourself. The secretive thieves guild known as the Golden Vault has commissioned you to infiltrate the party and steal a particularly dangerous magical diamond. It is the only way to prevent a disastrous calamity that could tear the Feywild apart. But you must not be caught!

About me
Greetings! I'm Justinian, a history and mythology nerd and “forever GM”. I've been fascinated by stories and games since childhood, and I’ve been running Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition campaigns for over six years! I run revised Wizards of the Coast modules (including Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus, Candlekeep Mysteries, Radiant Citadel, Spelljammer, Strixhaven, and Wild beyond the Witchlight) as well as custom Greek mythology, Theros, and Forgotten Realms adventures. All my games are LGBTQ+ and beginner friendly, and I onboard new players individually to get a sense of player preferences and group fit! My greatest joy as a GM is seeing players implement creative ideas and turn them into victories. I've seen players successfully cast suggestion to magically persuade a guardian to defend against other intruders in a tomb, adopt a slaadi tadpole as an (illegal) school pet, and infiltrate an enemy lair by pretending to be safety inspectors. I look forward to many more moments like these!

Creating your character
Players should create a Level 10 character in the D&D Beyond campaign with: • expanded, legacy, and 2024 sources (no homebrew, no Eberron, Magic: the Gathering, or Spelljammer content, or Partnered Content like Critical Role, no Dragonlance) • standard array or stat buy (27) • fixed HP • standard starting equipment or starting gold • one rare or two uncommon magic items from D&D 2024 Free Rules, Bigby's, DMG, Tasha's, or The Book of Many Things • art or token to represent character
What to expect
Preparing for the session
• Message me if you haven't played with me before so we can complete an onboarding voice call on Discord to go over safety tools, rules, expectations, and technical setup. Players must be available for this onboarding call before the adventure start. Otherwise you will be asked to join another time. • Microphone with minimal background noise (headphones preferred) • Discord account (voice and text chat) • Roll20 account (battlemaps and music) • D&D Beyond account (character sheet) • Beyond20 browser extension • Create your own Level 10 character per restrictions detailed below • Provide character art or a token representing your character (if bringing your own) • Message me regarding any lines and veils • Bring a positive attitude!
What Justinian brings to the table

How Justinian creates a safe table
Players should submit their lines and veils to me by direct message, and I will create an anonymized list of the group's collective lines and veils for the one-shot. If safety concerns arise during gameplay, we will discuss triggering content above-table to ensure players feel safe before proceeding. Players must sign onto a Code of Conduct in my Discord server before they begin play to ensure players are all on the same page regarding safety rules and tools. The adventure will include a 10-minute break approximately midway through each session. For this adventure, players can expect standard fantasy combat (death, violence, murder), alcohol use, classism, freezing, hostages. Content created by players like the use of fire spells or wildshaping into snakes/spiders may also emerge during the game, which is why players are encouraged to submit lines and veils to me directly. We will be using Roll20 for visuals (including battlemaps) and music, D&D Beyond for character sheets, and Discord for voice chat (cameras preferred).
