About the adventure

Somewhere hidden in the world is a school unlike any other. A school that you cannot apply to, only be found by. That school is Silverhand Academy. Named after its founder, Lewin Silverhand, an adventurer famed for defeating the King of Darkness and ushering in the current era of prosperity that the world has enjoyed. This school has sent out agents to scout for people who show promise and potential, aiming to recruit them to the school and assist with developing their talents further. You are among those chosen. Having come to the Academy you will undertake classes to refine your abilities, undergo rigorous tests of skill and knowledge, as well as competing with other students to earn accolades for your party. The Great Hunt is being called, and you have a wild year of adventure ahead. **Fabula Ultima is a cooperative and collaborative storytelling system** *This is a modern world with a hidden magical side to it. Be ready for a delightful blending of modernity and fantasy.* -This means that players have almost as much influence over the world as the GM, through the use of mechanics like Fabula Points and Opportunities. -Fabula Ultima really emphasizes the roles within a party, and shines brightest when a group works together. -I use FoundryVTT to create an old school JRPG themed visual environment, complete with party menus, inventories etc. -With a large library of thematic music, and a catalogue of environmental art, I aim to create a deeply immersive experience catering to roleplay.

About me

Ever since I was young stories about epic quests, brave (and sometimes not-so-brave) heroes triumphing over fearsome creatures and dreadful foes have mesmerized me. Finding out about tabletop role-playing games changed the way I saw fantasy. The change from static narration to being involved in the world and story blew me away. Since that first session on my friend's back porch in the summer heat, I have played and run several systems, campaigns lasting several years of weekly games, and experienced all kinds of worlds. So far I have introduced over 2 dozen new players to Dungeons and Dragons and Shadowrun, and I would love to bring this experience to as many new players as I can. My campaigns include things like fully soundtracked adventures, all maps custom made by me, and a loose, friendly atmosphere at the table. I am available for specific game requests in addition to my posted offerings. I can run games in various fantasy settings, sci-fi, cyberpunk, and space operas. If I do not know the system you want to use, I can study it prior to game start, I am always happy to learn a new system!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will take place during Session 0, in a group setting. Characters can be made using content from the Core, High Fantasy, and Natural Fantasy books. Whether we use Quirks and Zero Powers will be determined in Session 0 based on group consensus. Characters will start at level 5 with no more than 3 classes selected.

The current party

Party is level 20, consisting of an Arcanist/DPS, an Entropist/Spiritist Healer, and a Tinkerer/Pilot damage/debuffer.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The only software needed is Discord for voice/video and a web browser. A microphone is required, and a headset is recommended to enjoy the soundtrack and sound effects of the game though! Webcams are not required, but can certainly be used if the group would like to! Definitely encourage all players to bring a fun, roleplaying mindset to each session too!

Safety

How Tantris creates a safe table

During session 0, we will go over the Safety Tools in more detail. There will be short breaks during play, and I will discuss lines and veils with each player individually, noting points of overlap as things to avoid entirely, and where there isn't overlap exercising a "fade to black" if those topics arise.
