🎬Summer Blockbuster Series🍿: 💰 The Gilded Vault 💰
A gaudy gilded vault, an arcane artifact, an AI security system. You know the specs, and perks of this impossible job. Now, all you need is a crew.
About the adventure
💰 There’s treasure beneath these golden sands and city streets—ancient, arcane, and priceless. Alas, you’re not just here for the gold. You’re here for the Spear. The Ember Spear—it hums with power, pulsing just beneath the lively gambling houses and darkened pleasure districts like a heartbeat. They say it’s a weapon of some kind. A relic from the realms beyond. A power from mysterious planes. All you know is, it’s locked inside the most secure vault on the continents, in the most upscale bank on the market. And your crew? You’re the ones hired to steal it. You’ve been hired by an agent for the city's elite, with too many smiles and too many secrets. You’ve been given blueprints—half-redacted. A rival crew is already making moves. And the magical AI that runs the bank security? It’s watching. It’s waiting. It's aware. You’ll have to lie, cheat, steal, and fight your way in and out of the vault before the clock runs out. Because if it does… Let's just say, the bank always collects. 🎲 Level 9 characters 🛠️ "Flashback" mechanic for Dramatic Heist Montages! 🎭 Choose your crew role (The Muscle, The Face, The Brains…) ⏱️ Race against a ticking countdown clock ⚔️ Face off with or evade guards & arcane security systems ✨ Cinematic, dice-roll heavy, and choose-your-fate style

In my opinion the worst part about playing online without video is you don't get those visual cues when someone wants to talk/do something. Kajamar did a perfect job of asking those who hadn't said anything during scenes yet what they were doing/wanted to do. It made sure that everyone was included in the decisions.
Great one shot. Kajmar was really able to ‘set the mood’ with a good mixture of theater of the mind descriptions, music and visual maps and tokens. Intriguing lore, unique battle dynamics, and an exciting setting all made it a fun time. I particularly appreciated her supportive tone and pace for all the players at the table, with great NPCs woven into the story.
This was my first ever game master I met through an online platform (I'd only ever played in person) And JUST before the session was about to start I had an emergency. She was very understanding and offered to take care of my payment. fortunately the emergency was not as serious once I s able to address it. then almost an hour later after i updated her on the situation, she offered to let me back in. which was awesome. and I had a blast playing with her and the other groups. took me a second to find my footing in the middle of initiative. Also her narrative voice is mesmerizing! the funness and creativity was awesome. But I'd listen to her narrate anything!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
A mic and account is needed to interact over Discord; a D&D Beyond account to join the campaign; and enough bandwidth to run Owlbear Rodeo live for mapping.
What Kajmar brings to the table
No need for bells or whistles! The game map will run interactively on Owlbear Rodeo, voice interactions are held over a private Discord channel, and players can join the campaign with premade characters or generate their own via my content on D&D Beyond. Rule of Cool preferred; Don't Hate - Decapitate!
Homebrew rules
For this one-shot we will be incorporating two House Rules: 1) Countdown Clock: Failed rolls, loud actions, etc tick down the timer for your heist's window of opportunity - and you DON'T want to hit zero! 2)Flashback!: Out of options? Never! Accept a minor injury, burn a spell slot, or coerce a class feature to your benefit with a Flashback scene- a chance to make a skill check (or three) during a cinematic scene that might have already solved your problem!
