About the adventure

The world has not forgotten the Calamity. It remembers in the silence of ruined shrines. In the screams that echo through divine fault lines. In the stars that are beginning to die. Above Exandria, the Harvest Way glimmers no more. Once a sacred constellation honoring the Dawnfather’s most radiant Solars, its lights now flicker… and vanish. One by one, the stars go dark—extinguished not by time or fate, but by something far more deliberate. In the shadow of this celestial unraveling, ancient prophecies stir, and forbidden prayers are whispered behind closed doors. The faithful begin to fear that their god no longer watches. Or worse—that something now watches in his place. Whispers tell of a fallen Solar. Of a divine betrayal buried beneath the ash of the Calamity. Of a love lost… and a light that would rather burn the heavens than bow. Something is wrong in the skies. And what falls from them may never rise again.

Character creation

Creating your character

Of course I encourage any passionate player to go ahead and make their character ahead of Session 0, I am always eager to read through pages of backstories! However, don't be alarmed if you don't have one ready immediately. I am more than happy to go over character creation at Session 0 and even schedule 1on1's with all players to ensure everyone is comfortable and ready! I can also provide a Tal'Dorei Hero Chronical to aid players in creating a character if they aren't super familiar with Exandria.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Ahead of the game, make sure to have a good webcam and mic. Also, if you haven't already, be sure to get signed up for DnDBeyond so we can make our characters! Discord will also be useful, as we will be using that for our voice chats and webcams. If you wish to make a character ahead of the game, go ahead and make them starting at Level 3, only races I would say no to are ones featured in Spell Jammer. However I will look over and dictate on a case by case basis.

What AarontheBaron brings to the table

I bring VTT to the table using D&DBeyond Maps primarily, as the integration will be most useful with Tal'Dorei Reborn. I also work very hard to perform character voices and make them each unique. I am also a firm believer in ambient music and take pride in my playlists! Syrinscape allows me to make any scene immersive for you, so be ready to lose track of time quick! Combat will be tactical, as I encourage all to use their surroundings to aid them in the fighting. If you think outside the box, there is DM Inspiration in it for you! I work very hard to make the turn by turn drag that is D&D 5E combat more fun and engaging for all.

Homebrew rules

Drinking potion as bonus action, Flanking, and other rules will be covered in Session Zero!

Safety

How AarontheBaron creates a safe table

First and foremost I want to ensure all players feel comfortable at the table, so we will run a Session 0 to establish expectation for the game, as well as boundaries. I will lay out expected themes and topics that may be touched on over the course of playing, and ask if there are any needing to be avoided. As for our X, N, & O's, during the game you may message me directly with any such signal, and I will immediately accommodate. We are meant to have fun, not feel uncomfortable. This is a safe space for all!
