Vancouver By Night

Vancouver is a city unlike any other. In all of the World of Darkness Cannon, Vancouver is the only City to have Kindred and Garou coexisting.

About the adventure

The city of Vancouver is like no other - peace reigns between vampire and werewolf. To the Kindred, the city is a "Safe haven" from the raging politics of the Damned. To the Garou, it is the site of the Great Caern, a place of spiritual brotherhood. A generation has passed in peaceful silence... But that is about to end. The Vancouver Compact is threatened, and war looms on the horizon. An invisible enemy works to destroy all that both sides have achieved. Something is awakening, and it writhes within the city. Can Garou and Kindred work together to prevent the city's destruction? Vampire Vancouver is an independent Camarilla city under the control of Prince Siegfried. Siegfried has an extremely tight control on the local Kindred population, only rarely allowing Embraces or entry to other Kindred, keeping the population at maximal 20 permanent Kindred. Killing a mortal, even accidentally, is a crime punishable by Final Death. Clan gatherings are forbidden to avoid conspiracies against the prince. Personal feuds are forbidden from influencing nightly activities. Siegfried maintains no Primogen council or other offices. The entire city has been declared Elysium. Werewolf Vancouver is the site of the Great Caern, one of the most powerful Caerns in the New World. The city has been built around it, making it one of the earliest urban Caerns in the Americas. Since the Caern is one of Cooperation, this has provided unique circumstances. The Glass Walkers have formed the sept and named it the Smiling Buddha Caern. The Sept is ruled via a council of representatives lead by Theurge, Roger Daly. The Council’s job is mainly jurisdiction and defending the Vancouver Covenant. When Roger Daly managed to negotiate the Covenant between the Garou and the local Kindred, protests arose that believed that such an action would only serve the Wyrm. Daly, however, pointed out that the Kindred could be used to fight the Wyrm, using their corporate ties to restrain resource exploitation and fund reforestation. So far, the Glass Walkers have had success with their Covenant, but how long can this dark alliance last? Based on the old World of Darkness Setting, Dark Alliance: Vancouver

About me

HELLO! I'm psyched to create a story with you. I've been running games, events, larps, and telling stories for over 20 years and I am always looking to spin more yarn. I usually introduce more than a dozen new players to the world of table top each year. I'm familiar with many systems, (some examples below) and I'm always eager to add to a system if the group wants something more unique. I like to capture the intimate details of a books while at the same time help my players feel like they are apart of a grand cinematic marvel! Rather high stakes intrigue or octane burning adrenaline, my want my games to live on not just at the table but in conversations you have with your friends and family. Examples: D&D (all editions and many homebrews made by famous youtubers like XP to Level 3, DnD Shorts, Pointy Hat, and many others), World of Darkness (all editions), Sentinels RPG, Shadow Run (all editions), Savage Worlds, Call of Cthulhu/Delta Green, All the One Page RPGs, Fireborn, Path Finder, Star Finder, Conspiracy X, Dark Conspiracy, and many more.

GM Dragon has been great so far! I've played in several sessions, and each one has been enjoyable. He builds great atmosphere, runs engaging combat, and creates compelling characters and choices. If you're a new or experienced player, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Logan is super adaptable and goes out of his way to align the game with out visions for the game. He expands the world to a level that matches our interest and creates interactive content making the sessions feel personalized. Outside the game, he's relaxed and personable, which makes the whole experience easy to enjoy.

Runs a great campaign, really good at working the story around the character you've envisioned. Proactive with making a fun and inclusive experience, and allows a lot of flexibility. Had several sessions so far and they've been a blast

He is incredibly engaging and creates such strong worlds. One session he helped a player create their character, then later made a phenomenal scene based on that character with basically no preparation.

GM Dragon professionalism. And immersive storytelling has been truly wonderful. My family and I have really enjoyed working with him. One of the best gaming experiences I have had

Character creation
Creating your character

This campaign will have a session zero, where players will discuss the sort of game they wish to play. They can discuss if they would like to play an all vampire game or an all werewolf game, or if they would like to try to mix the game. The point of Vancouver is that it is a city that has both vampire and werewolf, that does not mean that the players have to be a mix of both, just that they will deal with both no matter their choice. We will discuss safety tools, create characters, construct character ties, and also move forward to discussing what to expect in the game.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Players should have a good mic and discord.

What DragonsGM brings to the table

All art that I bring to this game will be original, drawn by artists I know personally, and the artists will be compensated for. Further more I will also be able to provide contact with said artist (if they are open) if there is a specific piece of art you like, and wish to commission them for yourself as I support ethical art. I also bring wealth of experience to the table as any professional storyteller should, but instead of just telling you, For Vampire "You didn't wake up this morning! In fact, you'll never wake up in the morning ever again! You're cold, but it doesn't bother you. You're hungry, thirsty, and irritable, and that is all you can think about! Juicy apples, plump peaches, even the idea savory salty foods seems to sicken you though. If none of that appeals to you, what could you be hungry for, thirsty for! Then it hits you, like a semi-truck slamming into a building. Like a brand new hydro power plant on its first day, you hear the gushing of fluid and a pounding drum. As someone walks by, you can smell the salt of their labors through the day, you can taste the air near them, the savory satisfaction that they are. They are all you can think about it seems. They hold your attention stronger than any drug ever could." For Werewolf "No one talks about how much much mornings can smell like water. You can smell the frost on the grass and you already know it is going to be cold. These mornings don't bother you as much as they use to however. Your bones use to ache, your hip would make you cry out in pain, but ever since that change, you've never felt more... Attune with the world. The only problem is, you are angry all the time. Before you never knew why, but now you know exactly why and yet it doesn't make it better You see, because you never get to express your anger. No, instead, you get to put that anger in a teeny tiny little mental box in your head, and then put that box in another box, and that box in another box; like some sort of sick Russian doll! The more you get angry, the more you have to force it all in that little box. Only when there is danger, do you get to let it out, allow that rage to explode in an uncontrolled chaos that always results in someone dying. And that's the problem, someone always dies. You live in a world of made of egg shells, and if you aren't careful you always break something, you break... Someone. But you can't help it, because you just get so... Angry. And why are you angry? Why do you Rage? Gaia bleeds and no one cares." Happy to provide more.
