Exandria: Lost Seals Of Oblivion |Beginner Friendly| ๐+Friendly
A mad god stirs, ordering it's followers to free it. Can you trace the paths of the ancient heroes who first caged it and prevent this mad god's rise?
About the adventure
The Chained Oblivion stirs in its cage, the rolling, maddening darkness that is its form straining against the divine shackles that bind it. Two years ago servants of this mad god nearly broke one of the seals that holds these divine shackles in place. Now a race is on, most of the seals' locations have been lost to time, can they be rediscovered and fortified in time or will the Chained Oblivion's followers finally free it from its cage and bring about the Epoch of Ends that their mad god has promised them? Features: - Learn the stories and track down the resting places of lost Champions of the Calamity - Find custom and canon Vestiges of Divergence - Solve ancient mysteries - Battle epic creatures - Explore Exandria - and save your world from an ending of darkness and madness...hopefully This is a original adventure set in Critical Role's setting Exandria, it will be a long term campaign (levels 3 - 18). Knowledge of Critical Role and/or DND5e is not required, I'm happy to teach you everything you need to know.

About me
Greetings weary wanderers, it is I, a weird, queer, and nerdy Game Master. I have long been a storyteller and worldbuilder, and now I wish to share these talents with you. In less flowery prose, Hi, my name is Alex. I'm in my twenties and live on the west coast of Canada. I am pansexual and non-binary. My friends describe me as: a gremlin, probably too nice for my own good, a giant nerd, and very creative.

Storytelling
Alex has done a great job of populating the world of Exandria with colorful characters and has empowered a diverse, fun-loving group to explore and question everything. Our first session was relatively straightforward, with some basic combat, and Alex did a good job of helping the newbies, myself included, get our feet wet. Subsequent sessions have seen Alex balance combat with exploration and discovery of lore. Descending into a dark ruin doesn't HAVE to mean combat, and Alex's understanding of that and willingness to let us use our non-combat skills to solve puzzles has been a blast. If you choose Alex as your GM, I honestly believe you will have a wonderful experience.
Alex is a great GM with a wonderful knack for storytelling, and making players feel tied into their adventures. Sessions are always well-paced and engaging, and they really encourage players to interact with the world. We're only partially into our campaign at the moment, but so far I've loved every little plot turn and development and the story feels rich and exciting. Our group finds it easy to lose track of time as we get lost in the game, and there's no feeling quite like that :) If you like to play creatively, explore a rich world, and get wrapped up in a great story, then Alex is a great GM for you!
Alex is a fantastic GM! I really enjoy their Exandria set campaign. Theyโre a great storyteller and a very fair GM who knows DnD well. They make memorable NPCs and a campaign that is compelling and fun. I was very new to DnD when I started playing with Alex and they did a great job of never making me feel confused or left behind.
Character creation
Creating your character
You are an upstart adventurer, you have accomplished something, whether it was helping save a village, very successfully completing a job for some decently powerful individual or group, or winning some tournament, it was enough for someone to take notice of you. You have received a letter asking you to come to the Chantry of the Dawn in Rexxentrum, the capitol of the Dwendalian Empire on the 10th of Sydenstar at dusk. The letter contains details of information you are desperately seeking, and it says that if you do as the letter asks you will gain the opportunity to find what it is you are seeking. We will be having a free session zero with some character creation but please feel free to start early. We start at level 3, with one of these custom stat arrays; 16, 16, 14, 14, 10, 8 18, 15, 15, 13, 10, 7 18, 16, 15, 11, 10, 8 All sources are good, only Critical Role and The Griffonโs Saddlebag for partnered content. Milestone Levelling Fixed or Manual HP - You can reroll ones if you chose manual. 2014 or 2024 classes, backgrounds, and species but make sure you are only gaining an ability boost from either your background or species. If you choose a 2014 background you can add a origin feat yourself. You will also start with one uncommon magic item and 50 extra gold.
The part is now at level 4 and we currently have; an elven warlock, an elven druid, a halfling wizard, and a tiefling sorcerer. To better tie your character into where we're at in the campaign, I'll work with you on your backstory and what has led you to meet the rest of the party.

How Alex creates a safe table
Roleplay: Roleplay is my favourite part of dnd and I encourage my players to dive as deep into it as they feel comfortable with. Combat: I enjoy challenging my players with exciting, tactical and sometimes silly combat. We usually have at least one combat a session. Puzzles: Puzzles will crop up occasionally but will never lock my players out of anything important. At worse the characters will just have to spend time trying every option to solve the puzzle. A link to the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist will be sent to you when you join the discord server and I will compile them together and pin it in the chat. We will also be having a free session zero where we'll be discussing character creation and more of what to expect in the campaign.
