About me
I've been gaming and running games for over thirty years, and been a professional freelancer and indie designer for over twenty. (Sentences like this sometimes makes one question their life choices.) I also spent almost ten years teaching English as a second or foreign language from kindergartners to conversation seeking adults as well as for those who had professional needs. Classroom management is a little easier than herding cats, and that's just a little easier than GMing strangers, and I've got the chops for all three. (Ask me for pictures of my cats.) I'm a lover of all the wildest indie games out there, and I've written for a bunch of traditional games you know and love. Hit me up, whatever game you love, I might be able to run it for you. If you want an idea of how I run my own game, #iHunt, here's an actual play with the AMAZING crew of the Critshow! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb9QudaBHls Hit me up, and let's get you gaming!

Creating your character
We'll use all the 2024 rules to play this game! But don't worry! If you don't have the books, I'm happy to help! We'll use a hybrid point expenditure and dice rolling that will be explained when you sign up! Nothing too complicated but balanced nicely! Happy to consider UA material that has been updated for '24!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a discord account, a working mic, hopefully a working camera (but that's less important) and some excitement to play! I can handle the rest. :D
What F Young brings to the table
We'll use Discord for organization and audio/video calls. Some combat and exploration scenes will use a VTT like Owlbear Rodeo, all with free sign ups for players. I will provide players with sheet guidance, trait and feature cards, and a ton of aids so you'll never have to crack a book to play if you don't want to! This is a setting of my own design, and I will provide any specific house rules unique to the setting! Some of this is still a little on the experimental side since I am a game designer first and foremost. So if you don't love it, let's talk about it! If you'd like an idea of how I run a table, I streamed several episodes of my own game #iHunt with the Critshow! You can check that out here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb9QudaBHls&t=707s&pp=ygUSI2lodW50IGFjdHVhbCBwbGF5
Homebrew rules
Currently playing close to RAW in most places. Except Surprise! Rules as written in the 24 rules are not to my tastes. I am a game designer first, however, so fixing and adjusting rules to suit your play style and game mastery will likely happen on the fly.

How F Young creates a safe table
I'll be providing you a Level Sheet, which is a method for covering both what you never want to see on screen, what you never want to happen at all, if it's okay if it happens to someone else but not your character and if there's something you actually love and want to see a ton of! Additionally I'll provide a player expectation doc for you to agree to. It'll cover things like handling out of character friction, expectations when missing a session, and more! I respect your time, we can respect each others and have a good ol' time playing!
