Loot Tavern Monster Hunters

Loot Tavern Monster Hunters

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

Welcome to the Loot Tavern: Gateway to Glory, Guts, and Gourmet Monster Parts Drifting through the star-flecked fog of the Astral Plane, the Loot Tavern awaits—an ever-shifting sanctuary where adventurers gather between worlds to toast their triumphs, nurse their wounds, and prepare for their next legendary hunt. This is no ordinary inn. Its doors appear to those bold (or reckless) enough to sip a mysterious indigo beverage known only as port ale. Whether you found yours in a dusty chest, bought it from a shady street vendor, or received it via a raven-sent invitation, one thing is certain: your life is about to get much more interesting. In this monster-hunting campaign, players will venture from the tavern to all manner of wild and dangerous locales—each a vivid biome teeming with bizarre creatures, ancient secrets, and high-stakes contracts. Whether you're tracking a lava-blooded basilisk through molten tunnels or baiting a sugar-fanged mimic in a haunted candy shop, no two hunts are the same. The rewards are equal parts peril and prestige: powerful materials to craft bespoke gear, rare magical ingredients, and perhaps a name sung in port-soaked ballads across planes. This game is perfect for players who love high adventure, unique monsters, and a healthy blend of exploration, roleplay, and tactical combat. You'll track your quarry, learn its behaviors, devise your strategy, and then face off in thrilling, cinematic encounters. New players are welcome! I’ll guide you through character creation, monster lore, and the rules of the hunt. If you enjoy the spirit of Monster Hunter, The Witcher, or Legend of Vox Machina, this is your table. So grab your weapon, order a teleportation flight, and step into the ink-swirled void. The hunt begins when the quill hits parchment.

This GM will work with you on incorporating your crazy ideas into the game sessions. He routinely adds in shenanigans that the players dream up and completely mess up his plans. If you're looking for a GM that will bend the rules as written to promote fun in the campaign, he is for you.

As of right now my favourite DM I've had, super funny, engaging, knows when to build you up and times to break the 4th wall and have fun, overall super cinematic and enjoyable combat. Overall I would suggest him 10/10 times will be looking to jump on many of his campaigns where possible.

Just finished our 6 session, and I have to say I am having a blast. DM is funny, and understanding to players who are still figuring things out. Love the fighting, the puzzles, and even down time is enjoyable.

How to prepare

Just DnD Beyond. Build your character. Do character build rolls within app. You get two attempts on rolls, but have to keep second one if you opt to reroll.

What I provide

Expect a balance of tactical combat, clever problem-solving, and rich roleplay. I'm no rule lawyer, but I do think adhering to the game's mechanics is important when presenting genuinely creative ideas to make the rules bend to your will. Expect dynamic character interactions, meaningful settings, and flavorful narration as we bring this world—and the hunt—to life. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned vet, you're welcome at the Loot Tavern.
