About me

I'm an American Expat living in Saudi Arabia. Some other expats introduced me to their local DnD game and I was instantly hooked. Since then, I started DMing for group and have absolutely loved this part as well. Professionally, I am a writer (corporate storyteller). I'm also a recovering journalist. Scholasticlly, I have a MA in English and, pertinent to those reading this, my literary focus was on the art of the short story. DnD has been an excellent framework to further strengthen my craft and I look forward to sharing (and building) that with all of you out there in the digital ether.

GM Style

My style, essentially, is to flow with your style and, collectively, the style of the group. I'm no rule lawyer, but I do think adhering to the 5e DnD mechanics is important when presenting genuinely creative ideas to make the rules bend to your will. I enjoy weaving a balance of roleplay, combat, and Sherlock Holmes-esque problem solving into narrative arcs that are ultimately defined by the choices the players make. I'll always have a target in mind for every session, but how the players get there is 99 percent of the fun.
