About me

Greetings, I'm Wolf. I oversee a Westmarch Server where I both participate as a player and lead games as one of many dungeon masters. My experience on Roll20 exceeds 40,000 hours, with five years of dedicated dungeon mastering. My worlds are filled with custom-made artwork, maps, and tokens. I take extra care in crafting my NPCs, ensuring they form meaningful connections with the players. Storytelling for me is a joint venture; I cherish building narratives together with my players. Their involvement in the story is deepened by integrating their player characters into the fabric of the world, making their choices pivotal to the overarching story. I'm well-versed in D&D 5E rules, acknowledging their significance while ensuring they don't overshadow the player experience. I pride myself on being adept at balancing diverse encounters on the fly, particularly in response to players' unexpected moves. My approach is geared towards providing balanced opportunities for character development and welcoming player input. This builds anticipation for the next adventure and keeps my players excited. The thrill for me as a dungeon master lies in maintaining an element of surprise. My objectives are to improve the narrative unity of my campaigns, cultivate an open environment for feedback, and refine my encounter design. I'm dedicated to elevating my game sessions to be even more compelling and enjoyable for both my players and me.

What Wolf brings to the table

My games are cinematic, immersive, and emotionally driven. I offer a fully supported VTT experience with custom maps, tokens, mood art, and full access to Roll20’s book library. Ambient music and visual transitions help pull players into the world from the very first scene. Every session balances meaningful roleplay and technically satisfying combat. Whether you’re confronting ancestral spirits or ambushing an enemy warband, the stakes are high and the moments are impactful. I don’t do character voices, but I do focus heavily on pacing, clarity, and player agency. My prep is foundational to my GM style—I build the world, the factions, and the pressure points, but how the players engage is entirely up to them. I run Rules as Written as the default, but there’s always room for the Rule of Cool when it enhances the moment. Players can expect a high-trust table, deep worldbuilding, and a space where their characters' legacies matter. You won’t just explore Karagtan—you’ll shape it.

Homebrew rules

### 🛠️ Homebrew Server Rules To keep things fun, fast, and fair across our shared world, we follow a few custom rules on this server: #### 🛡️ Armor Stacking Rule A character may only benefit from **two permanent sources of armor bonuses** at a time (e.g., base AC + shield, or base AC + Mage Armor). Some **specific class features, spells, and magical effects** are **exempt** from this rule and always apply freely (ask a DM if unsure). #### 🎯 Critical Successes & Failures * **Natural 20 on a Saving Throw** → You automatically succeed and **take no damage**, even on a half-damage fail. * **Natural 20 on an Attack Roll** → Roll your **damage dice twice** (this is usually automated in the system). * **Natural 1 on a Saving Throw** → You automatically fail and **take double damage** from the effect. * **Natural 1 on an Attack Roll** → You automatically **miss**. If you're using a **firearm**, the weapon also **jams**. #### 💀 Death Saving Throws * Rolling a **natural 20** immediately restores you to **1 HP** and lets you **take a full turn** on your initiative. * If you drop to 0 HP and begin making death saves, you gain **1 level of exhaustion** upon stabilizing or being revived. * Only a **natural 20** negates the exhaustion penalty. Flanking gives +2 to hit, not advantage.

Safety

How Wolf creates a safe table

I run a welcoming table where player comfort and safety are a core part of the experience. I use tools like aftercare check-ins, scheduled breaks, and end-of-session debriefings to make space for processing intense moments and sharing feedback. My table operates under a clear Open Door policy. Players are always free to step away or message me privately at any time, no explanation needed. I strive to build a space where players feel respected, supported, and empowered. So we can explore rich stories with full trust in one another.
