About the adventure
If you're like me, there is a chance that the first time you ever played D&D was confusing and overwhelming at best. There are many Realms to play in and enjoy but one that holds a special place in my heart is Exandria. Whether you're familiar with the setting, only familiar with older versions of Dungeons & Dragons, only seen TTRPGs from the many talented shows online, or still struggle to tell different dice apart, it is never too late to learn. Call of the Netherdeep follows the party as they uncover what time and history have burried beneath the surface and the importance of where one places faith. You'll reveal a story of a long forgotten hero of the Calamity, a 200+ year war between the Gods that destroyed the lands. Although it has been 836 years since the Gods roamed the lands of Exandria, their influence is still felt and has become even more prevalent with tension building in certain circles. You and your party are also not the only mercenary group and could find yourselves competing for connections, resources, and information. This story could be pretty linear, but is also full of all types of encounters. If you've wanted to play in a story that lasts more than a singular session like a one-shot, but do not have the commitment for a 1-20 campaign this might just be for you.

About me
I am a 1 year DM looking to build my own experience while also teaching new-ish players and providing that space that encourages learning. The first time I ever played a TTRPG was in grade school and it was shown to me as a combat and fighting game. Fast forward a few years and in University I finally realized the potential in story telling that TTRPGs can have when compared to movies or tv when you aren't constrained by time.

Creating your character
In an ideal world I'd love to have a session 0 with most if not all of the party. However, with time zones and availability I know that's not always possible. More than likely if that idea falls through, I'd ask everyone to come up with the general type of character you want and we can work together to build a character and a party that feels connected to each other and the world.
- If you're bringing in an already started character sheet please be sure to use 5e 2014/Legacy options. It's easy to fix should you mix it up. - 1 free Feat. - Inventory in addition to Starter Items: 1 Uncommon item and 2 Common items Current Party: Level 4 Tabaxi Paladin, Goblin Wizard, Tabaxi Cleric, Bugbear Warlock Scheduling: Dates line up with March 30th, April 13th, April 27th, May 11th, etc.
What to expect
Preparing for the session

What Becca brings to the table
🎲 Games will be played on owlbear.rodeo a free to use VTT and through Discord (just voice, no camera) 📝 D&D Beyond will be used for character sheets as it allows me to see and guide players should any confusion or questions come up during gameplay. 🎶 I enjoy having background music to set the scenes and will provide maps for combat and other encounters (sourced from the official Call of the Netherdeep book as well as my own). 🏳️🌈 This is a learning and safe environment: it is an LGBTQA+ safe space, and there will be no tolerance of racism, sexism, homophobia, or otherwise. As the folks at Critical Role say "Dont forget to love each other".

How Becca creates a safe table
I have a link to a Lines and Veils Form which will be sent once we start discussing character ideas. Depending on timing I will also encourage a Session 0 for individuals or the party to build out their connections IC and OOC and also outline what lines should not be crossed from the L&V questionnaire. Answers will remain anonymous from my end unless you choose to share that with the table. Conversation will always remain open and I encourage my table to message me directly or speak up (if comfortable) in game and if need be, we can re-route gameplay so everyone can continue having fun. Typical sessions run 4 hours with a 15 min break about 2 hours in. I also understand that not everyone can stay after a game ends however the call will remain open for any cool-down conversations, debriefs, or general social time with the table.
