About the adventure

Shorshana and Maiacera, twin worlds of dawn and dusk, Beauty and Illusion. Linked intimately as long as anyone living there can remember, you can travel from one to the other easily--but nowhere else. Legends say there are other worlds surrounding the Sun, but you can't see them. In fact, the Sun herself is veiled by some vast working of magic in both worlds' skies. But that's life here. The stars are legends, fading into memory--until one night a vast ring of lace, encircling the sky, flares into visibility. What portents does this hold? Why are the tombs of the Ancients reawakening? You and your band of adventurers intend to find out. Intended for those curious about Daggerheart as a system and willing to plunge into a new world of lore, to which they can contribute. New players welcome! Even if you've never played D&D or any other TTRPGs, if you're willing to learn and excited to roll dice, you're qualified! This will be a collaborative game, focusing on the players' characters and their actions in a world shrouded in mystery. Players will be encouraged to contribute ideas about their backstories and other places in the world, while solving puzzles and battling monsters! This is a high fantasy setting with lots of magic everywhere, so all kinds of ideas can have a place here.

About me

I've been running games around the table since 2010! I have lots of experience running games on Discord, live streaming on Twitch, and playing in text chats. I love creating spaces where people can really express themselves and explore what makes collective storytelling powerful, while having tools to stay safe and sane doing it. :) I am nonbinary and queer, and often incorporate these themes into play. I intend to have a welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ players and those who support and ally with them.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen starting in session 0 and finishing by start of session 1, with the GM being available for questions and help between sessions. Character creation should follow the Daggerheart 1.5 open beta rules, and the rest of the game will use those until the full game is released on May 20th. Characters will start at level 1.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Mic required, camera optional but encouraged. Daggerheart has a character sheet and dice rolling system available on the Demiplane Nexus ( https://app.demiplane.com/nexus/daggerheart ), and I encourage players to get started reading and playing around with that before session 0. Please message me for an invite to my Discord server!

What Nora K.B. brings to the table

I have a private Discord server on which I run all of my games, including a music bot, dice bot, and time zone conversion bot. I love to do character voices and encourage players to do so as well if they're comfortable, but it's not required. I like to run combats with Theater of the Mind first but will happily make diagrams and maps. Virtual tabletop will be done either through the Roll20 Discord extension, or a browser-accessible VTT like Owlbear Rodeo, depending on players' tech needs. I'm always open to customization of both the system and the players' abilities to the table's needs and prefer to find a way to allow players to do what they want one way or another, while keeping play equitable for the group. My tables are LGBTQ+ safe spaces and bigotry and hate speech are not allowed.
