About the adventure

⚡ OverThrone – A Modern Mythic D&D 5e Adventure 🦚 The Greek Gods were once the undisputed rulers of the cosmos, feared and worshiped by mortals for millennia. They rose to power by overthrowing the Titans, but now, history has repeated itself. Their own children—the DemiGods—have rebelled, cast them down from Olympus, and seized control. Stripped of much of their divine power, the old gods must now navigate a world that has moved on without them. This is a Dungeons & Dragons 5e adventure, set in a world that mirrors modern Earth. Technology is everywhere, yet to you, it might as well be magic. Once, the mortals carved statues in your honor—now, they are glued to glowing rectangles, their devotion fading into myth. But make no mistake: you are still a God. Your power may be diminished, your name forgotten by many, but the divine spark within you still burns. And if the DemiGods thought they could erase their creators, they were wrong. You and your fellow fallen deities must regain your power, rebuild your influence, and take back what is rightfully yours. Will you inspire the world to believe in you once more? Forge new legends in the age of skyscrapers and satellites? Or will you burn it all down and remake the world in your image? The choice is yours. This game is perfect for fans of mythology, modern fantasy, and epic power struggles. If you’ve ever wanted to play a vengeful Zeus, a trickster Hermes, or a reborn Hades learning to wield a smartphone, this is your chance. No deep knowledge of Greek mythology required—just bring your creativity, ambition, and a willingness to embrace the chaos of gods in a world that no longer worships them. 🔱

About me

Hi! I'm Tauthiri (she/they), a 28-year-old Dragon Manager (DM) who discovered a deep love for tabletop roleplaying during the pandemic. Like many, I started with D&D — and like many others, I was the “chosen sacrifice” who became the forever DM. Luckily for me, it turned out to be one of my favorite roles in the world. ✨ Since then, I've had the chance to play a bit, but DMing has always felt like home. These days, I run a local group focused on creating a safe, welcoming space for women and fem-aligned folks to explore TTRPGs — no need to bring dice, books, or spend money to get started. Jumping into this hobby can be intimidating, especially for people on the margins, but (if you ask my players) I’m doing my part to make it easier, safer, and more fun. 🌸 I adore storytelling in all its forms — from books and films to musicals and TTRPGs — and across genres, from fantasy and horror to anything weird and wonderful. My campaigns usually fall into one of two camps: high-concept narrative journeys, or chaotic bands of lovable idiots somehow saving the world. Either way, I’m always looking to connect with more players, tell more stories, and explore even more kinds of campaigns. Maybe you’ll join me for the next one? 🪻🍃

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation should be completed before the first session. You will be playing as a fallen Greek God, starting at level 1 in D&D 5e, seeking to reclaim your lost power. Your character should be inspired by a deity from Greek mythology, though your interpretation can be as traditional or as unique as you like. Stats should be determined using the 4d6, drop the lowest method. Characters must be created on D&D Beyond—the campaign link can be found in the prepped materials section and on Discord.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A webcam and microphone are required, along with Roll20, D&D Beyond, and Discord accounts. Characters should be created beforehand, and players should have a basic understanding of the rules. However, if you need help, feel free to reach out—we can schedule time to go over everything together!

What Tauthiri brings to the table

I run a Master-tier D&D Beyond game with tons of unlocked content, immersive maps on Roll20, and a fully integrated Discord with bot support for smooth gameplay. Expect character voices (all vaguely Scottish, but passionately delivered) and curated playlists to set the mood for every scene. We’ll be using classic D&D 5e rules, but at my table, Rule of Cool reigns supreme—if it’s epic, creative, and fits the story, we’ll make it happen!

Safety

How Tauthiri creates a safe table

We'll be using Lines and Veils to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. Each player will submit their preferences, which will then be compiled and shared in the Discord for transparency and reference. Before the campaign begins, we'll have a free 15-30 minute one-on-one Session 0 with the DM. This is a chance to go over safety tools, campaign tone, and character readiness, making sure you're comfortable and excited to jump in. During the game, X, N, and O cards can be communicated privately to the DM via Discord DMs, allowing for quick adjustments to keep the experience fun and safe for all. If you ever need to step back or voice a concern, your comfort always comes first!
