When a Star Falls | Quests from the Infinite Staircase
Your Patron is a Noble Djinn who masters a realm of infinite doors to infinite worlds. Help him grant some wishes and you may earn one of your own!
About the adventure
Welcome and please come with us as we proceed through a fun, challenging series of original 1980's modules that has been rewritten for the latest Dungeons and Dragons in "Quests from the Infinite Staircase". I ran many of these like 40 years ago when I was a kid, so I have been really enjoying this experience, with fresh players' perspectives, as an adult. We are concluding our appraisal of the peoples above the Lost City (the first module was level 1 to 4). We will be spending some time with our sponsor, Nafas (I'd love to let you meet this Noble Djinn!) at his residence, a vast, floating Aeolian style Palace, the "Censer of Dreams". He plans to show us another door on the Infinite Staircase (through infinite doors into infinite worlds...) that will bring us close enough to assist with another interplanar plea for help. That is of course after we relax and let ourselves be regaled by stories from around the multiverse for a bit... We are currently 4th level and will be 6th by the conclusion of the next module, beginning soon, called "When a Star Falls". We would love to have another 1-3 players join to complement the party! You are welcome to join for just a session, segment, module or more. It will typically be simple to bring your character in. If you find us to be a good match, our plan (so far) is to get through level 20 together. Scheduling has been a challenge for some we have lost on our journey, and we'd love to have you join us!

About me
Hello and welcome! I am Craig and I am generally a laughing, friendly, well-mannered kind of guy. Ofc some days are better than others for all of us... This is all here to help you narrow down whether we might be a good fit to play in some great stories together. River guiding (pictured on Ocoee Oct '23) is just one of many things I've done to live, work and play on the fringes of society in a variety of gorgeous, preferably natural spots across America. I gained and sacrificed much for that lifestyle. I've been playing and running a decent variety of TTRPGs since I was knee high to a grasshopper, with too long a hiatus through many of the past few years. Been back plenty long enough to figure out Roll20 and Discord as well as a few updated games systems but that is not where my enjoyment lies. That is with the people, stories and gameplay! I run inclusive games where everyone is welcome and safe. I'm newcomer friendly and am more than happy and ready to teach a game to somebody who has never played before. Safety tools are important to me as is respect for all. I want everybody to have a good time and a comfortable place to play. My goal is to deliver an experience you're happy to be a part of, please let me know how we can make that happen. I am neurodivergent with ADHD and undiagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum (these have many "symptoms" in common). Fortunately for us, I tend to hyper fixate on these games... I also believe that the word "disorder" for either of these is a misnomer for simply different ways of thinking, feeling, learning and expressing... I look forward to meeting you to build some collaborative, epic tales!

If you're looking for a laid-back, engaging, and unforgettable tabletop experience, look no further than Craig. As our Werewolf: The Apocalypse GM, he mixes storytelling with a relaxed vibe. His approach to the game allows us to immerse ourselves in the rich lore of WtA. He utilizes his knowledge of nature and society to make the situations you encounter very realistic and mindful. I have a great time playing with Craig! Feel free to say hi if you see me around!
Craig is a GM who is very good at incorporating all of his PC's strengths and ensuring they all have time to shine. He does good characters and pulls from alot of different content including premades, remixing them and his own original content. He can make mistakes (who doesnt) but is always good at correcting them or growing from them (im looking at you cybernetic killer bunnies that gave me ptsd). I have had a lot of fun in his campaign and will absolutely look for his games again in the future!
I have been playing with Craig for about a year now and he has been one of the best teachers and game masters I have had the privilege to play with over the 15 years of TTRPG experience I have had. His storytelling and player agency is always top notch and he is constantly coming up with brilliant ways to incorporate everyone into his story telling and world. I don't think anybody could walk away from his table without feeling like they've accomplished something or learned something and I couldn't recommend him enough for new players and veterans alike!
He is enthusiastic about TTRPGs and Cyberpunk. He genuinely wants people to have a good time. He does a thorough job in his session 0's to flesh out your character fully and loves the role-playing aspect of the game. He also provides a warm and inviting atmosphere to play in.
Character creation
Creating your character
Characters can be made in the campaign at your leisure, on DnD Beyond, before our first session. Please let me know if you would appreciate any guidance, assistance or advice!
We plan to be working our way up in level with Nafas as our Patron, doing a variety of shorts from Quests from the Infinite Staircase. Don't let that stop you from joining as we can do one or several, together. Currently up to Lvl 5 characters and about to start the next short module with Nafas, our Noble Djinn sponsor at his palace, the "Censer of Dreams". This module concludes with a Dragon! I cannot wait, as that will be a super fun and challenging encounter for the party!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a decent Mic and headphones to reduce background noises. We will need free Discord and free DnD Beyond accounts.
What Craig brings to the table
You will have access to my DnD Beyond content. While I do enjoy some published content, I try not to railroad players into things. If you'd like to go in other directions, just let me know. Preferably in advance! I do enjoy using some voices or accents here and there but not always. Typically, rules as written but the rule of cool can be fun at the right times. I don't use music as it distracts me too much. My apologies, but I'm sure you can figure out a way to plug some in for yourself if needed.
