About the adventure
Across the galaxy, three powerful nations stand on the brink of of war. In the east, the Federation thrives in harmony with magic and nature. It serves as a beacon of hope born from exile. In the west, the Empire has emerged from loss, rejecting magic and embracing harsh innovation under a new and unyielding regime. At the center, the Neutral Accord struggles to maintain fragile peace, as tensions grow sharper day by day. But this story is not about empires. It is about its people. It is about the bonds you create, the trust you share, and what happens when that trust is broken. Your journey starts in Eden, a world full of beauty and balance, where magic flows freely and life flourishes in harmony. Here, you are more than adventurers—you are friends, allies, But peace does not last. Rumors spread of war rising in the west, guided by the cold, unwavering will of Arch Bishop Abraxas, a man who believes the galaxy must rid itself of magic entirely, regardless of the cost. Standing beside him is Izebel, a brilliant and feared commander across the galaxy whose loyalty to Abraxas is absolute. To some, she is the hero of the Empire. To others, she represents everything that has gone wrong. As war approaches, you will eventually leave Eden behind and travel across a galaxy filled with wonder and danger—through living worlds, ancient ruins, contested war zones, and the delicate territory of the Neutral Accord. Along the way, you will build friendships that feel real, face choices that matter, and confront truths that may alter how you view the galaxy—and each other—forever. here, We play twice a week creating a fast-paced, immersive story where your character can truly grow, change, and make their mark on the galaxy. Whether you’re new to D&D or a seasoned player, this game invites you to step into a story where your decisions count—and where victory isn’t only about defeating a villain; it’s about understanding what it takes to achieve that. *Review from a player named C. Gauthier* *"Shadow’s enthusiasm for the game and his players’ stories is absolutely infectious! He has a knack for figuring out how to tie even the most seemingly unrelated backstories together, and how to foster his players’ talents at the table to make each game something really special. I’ve both laughed out loud and cried during his sessions, and loved even the hardest emotional gut punch he could throw at my unsuspecting characters. His villains are truly insidious, and he knows how to get each and every party member to genuinely want to take them down. He’s extremely approachable outside of sessions as well, and his dedication to working with his players to make sure they’re engaged and excited is genuinely inspiring."* "This is the kind of DM you want if you’re looking for a roleplay heavy campaign. He’ll put your character through hell, but their story is going to be amazing because of it"

About me
With over 12 years of experience and running more groups then I can count; I know how to craft an adventure that will bring you and your friends to tears. I do this by placing YOU at the center of it all. Every decision counts. Every roll of the dice changes the story. Every character gets their turn in the spotlight. For this is YOUR story. Not mine, not your friends, YOUR STORY, And You know what? I still can't get enough of how unbelievably creative my players can be and if we add in what YOU bring to the table it will be even better. I love these games and I love the stories and memories that WE ALL create TOGETHER. My games are thoughtful, Inclusive, and full of Details from all of my players. But most of all they are unbiased and NON JUDGEMENTAL. I work hard to make sure everyone has an opportunity to shine and feel Safe at my table. I am the game master that will take ANY story you give me and see it through to the end. But most of all, i will work with you out of character in discord and talk for hours on end if you want about an idea you have. Give it to me and I will run it. For my name is Shadow, and I will run the stories you want to tell. “Your story, starts now” **A review from a very valued player in one of my Campaigns by Jared Gallop** *"Shadow is an INCREDIBLE storyteller, allows for a LOT of really cool story to happen and is really good about rule of cool, maintaining balance throughout some really insane encounters. I've played with him for almost 2 years now and he NEVER disappoints. Shadow also is really good about incorporating your backstory into the campaign, and will ALWAYS take into account what you want with your character. He is very knowledgeable and friendly, always wants to make sure people feel comfortable and safe in his games. Most of all, he is both a fantastic dungeon master and a great friend."*

Creating your character
First talk to me and bring a character back story. then we discuss it together. these are questions you should be asking your self: 1. What do I care about enough to risk everything for? This defines your characters core motivation. Not gold. Not power. Something personal: A person (family, mentor, lost love) A belief (protect magic, destroy it, restore balance) A promise or failure 👉 This is what gets your character out of bed when things get dangerous. 2. What is my connection to the world right now? This ties your character directly into the setting. Ask: Am I from the Federation, Empire, or Neutral Accord? Was I exiled, raised, trained, or betrayed by one of them? Who do I already know in this world? 👉 This prevents your character from feeling like a “tourist.” 3. What do I believe that might be wrong? This is HUGE for storytelling. Your character should have a belief like for example: “Magic is always good.” “The Empire is evil.” “Balance is the only way.” Now ask: 👉 What if that belief gets challenged? That’s where character growth happens. 4. What am I afraid of becoming? This defines your internal conflict. Examples: A mage afraid of becoming unstable or dangerous A soldier afraid of becoming a monster like their enemies A leader afraid of making the wrong choice 👉 This gives the me ways to challenge you emotionally, not just physically. 6. If someone you loved stood in your way… would you stop them? Don’t answer quickly. How far would you go? Where is your line? And what happens if you cross it? 👉 This is your breaking point. Secondly: we make your character on D&D beyond, however your rolling your character stats in Discord. After your character is made we run a one-shot together. this helps you come into the world and gives you a good intro to everything.
All my games are new player and veteran friendly and Its a great steal for its price.
What to expect

What Dm: Shadow brings to the table
1. A 1 week session try out period! This will be free to play sessions allowing you time to try out the system and my DM style. Should you stay, every week after will be $15. This is my real life job after all. 2. A fully player driven story with Custom maps, and music to help with visuals and environment. 3. 3 - 4 hours Game sessions so that my players take their time and not feel like they are rushed with anything. I also want to encourage role play that happens naturally 4. Characters on D&D beyond. These will be your overworld characters per say and are the ones you're using to pilot your big robots. 5. Lots of different missions type where Some can be Stealth missions, others could infiltration, or even Assassination or search and destroy. There are so many ways these kinds of missions can go and I think it will be a lot of fun for both roleplay and combat.
Homebrew rules
1: Sudden gambit: when you or an enemy roll to hit and meet the corresponding Armour class exactly, a sudden gambit may be initiated. When this happens imagine time stopping for all people but those a part of this. You have a split second to try to outwit your opponent with a skill of your choice or to think outside the box. But it must make sense what you are trying to do. Whoever secedes will crit their opponent causing max damage. A sudden gambit may also occur when a problem arises like a fireball comes flying towards you and you must think of what to do to not get hit. Pay attention to when these happen as it could mean life or death. 2. Critical and critical mis: If you roll a 20 on a D20 you will get the best possible result. If you roll a 1 on a d20 you will get the worst possible result. This even happens on ability checks. no one is perfect and luck can screw people even in real life! (have you ever missed a step irl and fell down the stairs before??) 3. Don't Give the DM bad idea - Should you ever say something like, “at least it can't get worse, or at least the terrask isnt here” may cause the encounter to change and become worse for the players. be careful what you wish for. (Evil dm laugh) 4. Inspiration: for great role playing or for doing an action and coming up with an idea that the Dm finds great, you may be rewarded with inspiration. Inspiration allows you to do called shots. These are attacks you can do that will have a huge impact on battle and can severely weaken an enemy permanently if done right. Also, instead of doing called shots you may re-roll any dice you roll at advantage. Must choose one or the other before you roll the dice. 5. The Rule of Cool - In most situations, if a player tries to do something that is not exactly by the book, as long as it is at least somewhat plausible The DM may allow an action to happen if it is cool. In some attempts however a skill or ability check may be required. Successfully pulling off this rule of cool moments may grant you boons if it goes well or minor determinants if it goes horribly wrong. NOTE: this can not be used to copy a class or feat ability and may not majorly handicap an enemy without inspiration. IE: stabbing out a monster's eye to blind them. 6. Character deaths - I will mostly try to avoid character deaths, instead preferring to have the character captured or something of the like where they can return later. That being said, should a character act recklessly, the consequences of your actions can include the death of the character. 7. Scarring and Lingering Injuries - Players that suffer from massive damage or particularly nasty knockouts, have a chance of developing scars or lingering injuries that can not be healed unless they visit a Major Church in a major City. In many cases this will cost the player characters a moderate sum of gold or they must promise to complete a quest for the Church for free.
