Ted is a fantastic DM for new and experienced players alike. He makes sure every player has their chance to shine and takes character backstories into consideration, with adjustments to the story to fit them into the narrative in a very satisfying way. I joined my current campaign later than the others, but it feels like I've been there since the beginning because Ted fosters such a friendly, patient and immersive environment. I would highly recommend you give him a try, and enjoy the ride!
I've been playing in Ted's Dragonlance campaign for a few months now, and it has been one of the best campaigns I've played in during my 5 years of playing D&D. One of the most important things in TTRPGs is pacing, and it's often difficult for a game master to find a good balance between going too fast and going too slow, especially online. However, every session I've played with Ted has had optimal pacing, and I always feel that I have enough time to roleplay and explore while never feeling like things are dragging on or bogged down. Ted also demonstrates an impressive level of system mastery for fifth edition, and is good at making quick rulings for creative things players do that aren't covered by the rules, which always feel balanced and fair. Additionally, his comfort with the Dragonlance setting is reflected in a campaign and world that feels truly immersive and alive.
I've been playing with Ted for the past couple of months, and it has been so much fun! When it comes to professional DMs, Ted is the gold standard. He is always prepared, and I appreciate his open communication with players during gameplay and between sessions. Ted has many loyal players, and I believe I have become one myself! Highly recommended!
Additional details
How to prepare
All players need to have a working mic and a stable internet connection. Webcam is not necessary but always appreciated (it's nice to see the faces of the people you're talking to). Everyone should have a basic understanding of the rules, of course they will be assisted if they don't remember something. Roll20 as well as Discord account are necessary. Finally, players will need a Syrinscape Online account where I will be streaming music and ambience sounds from.
What I provide
I have a Pro account on Roll20, as well as all core rulebooks that I can share with my players. I am very proficient with scripts and macros on Roll20 that speed up combat a ton. Music and ambience will be streamed from Syrinscape Online.
Gameplay details
On Session 0 we will discuss the rulings we will follow (for example vote if we want flanking or not), introduce ourselves, decide on the party composition and go over the way the campaign works. We will roll for stats, but everyone will use the array we roll. If the rolls are bad, we will go with point buy instead. Players get a free feat at level 1. We will use the "X, N and O" cards as macro on Roll20. Players can expect a fast paced and rules light gaming experience. The official title of the module is "Baldur's Gate - Descent Into Avernus". The "Baldur's Gate" part is infamous for how badly is it made so we will be skipping it altogether.

How will character creation work
Players will start from level 5 and progress to level 20 in the span of this campaign. Each player should have a general idea of what character they'd like to play and then we will make the concept a reality together. Characters will be created at Session 0. Every character will have a free feat from character creation.
