About the adventure

The city of Neverwinter is no longer its usual lively self. People are going missing, and strange whispers of shadowy figures fill the air. A worried scholar asks for your help, revealing that pieces of an ancient, dangerous power have been found. These fragments are attracting dark forces that could threaten the whole realm. Your journey will take you to mysterious places, from sunken ruins to dark forests. You’ll uncover secrets, meet allies, and face challenges that test your courage and creativity. Sometimes, talking and thinking can solve a problem faster than fighting. This adventure is perfect for both new and experienced players. Together, we’ll explore, roleplay, and battle - or find clever ways to avoid battles. Your choices will shape the story. Will you stop the shadows, or will they take over? Join us Wednesdays at 9pm EST and find out!

What JoltSw1tch brings to the table

I make custom maps and creatures as needed. I leverage D&D Beyond for tokens and VTT. I'm big on storyltelling and character voices. If a name sounds funny, it was meant to make you laugh, so don't be afraid to crack a smile or give your character a ridiculous name or backstory. (ie Butthole Fartch who worships Moonhammer from Dumb Dumbs & Dragons.) Combat can get intense, but should be fun. Feel free to grab the narrative to do cool things. Rules are a guideline, meaning I will follow them unless you pitch me something that sounds amazing. I blur the line between "As Written" and "Rule of Cool." I do also host sessions as podcasts; if the ENTIRE group is open to it, I'm more than happy to record and post our sessions for others to hear!

Safety

How JoltSw1tch creates a safe table

I'm really big on checking in after a session to make sure everyone's alright. If things are getting too intense everyone is more than welcome to take a breather; if you're not comfortable enough to say it to the group, my door is always open to have a conversation to look for ways to adjust the story to remove anything that's causing issue. On the same page, I look forward to hear what everyone enjoys to include more, and ideas anyone has to improve the story. I may build what we do, but you are an author of the story too. Ideas are always welcome!
