About the adventure
Ever wanted to know what life was like on the frontier of the old west, but with a magipunk fantasy twist?!?!? Frontiers of Q'Barra follows the life of the townsfolk of Stonewood Gulch and their pursuit of their dream of striking it big on the Q'Barra frontier. However, being a trailblazer does come with risks! Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey y'all I'm Killian and I love collaborative story telling and rolling dice. I got into TTRPGs in early 2017, I have actually read the 5e PHB, DMG, and a lot of the other DM centric books. I specialize in running campaigns that will put you and the rest of your party at the heart of the action and make your choices feel meaningful. I believe strongly in making sure everyone’s voice is heard and that they are welcome at the table. I strive to create memorable experiences for my players that will help them feel empowered to change the world around them. I am not trying to emulate the style of any of the celebrity DMs you see online, but I do hope that experiencing my style of running the game will make you want to go out and find yours!

Creating your character
We will be using the standard array to generate ability scores, this helps to create a sense of balance among beginner and veteran players alike. Roll20's charactermancer makes creating characters fairly simple by taking a lot of the heavy lifting off of the player. Players should come with a few character ideas they are excited about that fit into the setting of Eberron. We will begin with a session zero to discuss character concepts, lines and veils, and just give us all a chance to get to know one another. I will have my compendium set to share on Roll20 with all potential character creation options and unlock character sheets at the beginning of session zero.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic and a solid internet connection at a bare minimum. It is preferred that you also have a webcam and quiet space in which to play the game. In this day in age a quiet space can be hard to come by so setting your mic to push to talk will do. Roll20 has digital dice and a digital character sheet making things simple on that end. Physical dice are acceptable, but you'll need to set your webcam up so your dice are visible for the sake of transparency on dice rolls.
What Killian brings to the table
I will be bringing my digital D&D compendium via Roll20, maps will have dynamic lighting and character vision set up to provide a more immersive experience. I'm more than happy to share my maps with players and on long form campaigns I will agree to draw out one custom character portrait and turn it into a token for your PC as part of the experience. I love Eberron dearly and I look forward to playing with others who share a love of this setting and pulp action adventure stories.

How Killian creates a safe table
I will have the safety tool cards provided by Roll20 loaded into the game. I don't anticipate this being a particularly heavy game as it's meant to be more of a light hearted barb at the way many Americans in the US romanticize the old west. There are some real world parallels in the game, but I will not be gratuitously focusing on anything particularly unpleasant.
