About Killian
Hey y'all I'm Killian and I love collaborative story telling and rolling dice. I got into TTRPGs in early 2017, I have actually read the 5e PHB, DMG, and a lot of the other DM centric books. I specialize in running campaigns that will put you and the rest of your party at the heart of the action and make your choices feel meaningful. I believe strongly in making sure everyone’s voice is heard and that they are welcome at the table. I strive to create memorable experiences for my players that will help them feel empowered to change the world around them. I am not trying to emulate the style of any of the celebrity DMs you see online, but I do hope that experiencing my style of running the game will make you want to go out and find yours!

I got started GMing...
I got started GMing because I recognized that the potential of the sort of games that could be played far exceeded the types of games I was a player in. The GMs I played with did a lot of railroading and I wanted to explore the more collaborative side of storytelling that is involved in TTRPGs.
My favorite books are
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Fisherman, The Between, The Ballad of Black Tom, and The Legacy of Dhakaan Trilogy.
My favorite system of all Time is
Call of Cthulhu
How Killian runs games
I create worlds that you'll want to visit again, stories that make you feel, and combat that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I love immersive and emotional roleplay, but I do not use it to avoid using combat or exploration in my games. I love building maps, writing lore, doing voices to NPCs to help make them memorable, creating villains that you will love to hate, and creating experiences for the people at my table. Absence Policy: Startplaying.games provides a button which you are able to provide notice that you will be absent. You can click the skip session if you are going to be absent and your seat will be saved without incurring any sort of penalty. In the event of an absence in which the player does not give notice or gives less than 24 hour notice you will not be refunded for the session. Emergencies and technical difficulties do happen, but this does not negate the amount of front loaded work that my games require when running them through Roll20. If a pattern of no shows without notice persists you will be removed from the game to give others a chance to play at the table.
