About me

I have been a professional Dungeon Master for the last 4 years with experience in Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons, currently focusing on 5th edition DnD. I am passionate about building immersive, fun and unpredictable games that allow space to craft unique stories with my players. I have a strong professional acting and stage combat background and over 10 years of improv training, which lends itself well to roleplay and world building in my campaigns. The online TTRPG system I use is DnD Beyond, however I am open to other systems. Fully virtual, hybrid, and in-person games are all my specialty, particularly when integrating maps and character minis. Games with me focus on crafting fun for each particular player, with rules utilized to enhance players' enjoyment, while simultaneously crafting deep and rich worlds in which characters are invited to explore, fight, and live in. I have a flexible schedule - contact me and let's have some fun together!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters typically created through D&D Beyond character creator either before or during session 0. More options for character creation available in source books shared on D&D Beyond, but I am open to options from all other sources.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a working mic and Discord account. Free account with D&D Beyond website for character creator. For players bring new to TTRPG's or D&D, I would like to have an hour session with them before the game to help explain game rules and table expectations, along with sending links for further materials for learning how to play.

What Kyle (Captain) brings to the table

I like to shape my games as much as possible around the characters that the players bring to the table, so players actions directly shape the plot setting around them. I utilize my acting background to bring the NPC's to life, and make memorable characters for players to interact and make bonds with. I absolutely love to get detailed with descriptions of tactics and attacks during combat, and the music that I play during games always reflect the world around you and the situations at hand.

Safety

How Kyle (Captain) creates a safe table

I have a strong open door policy in which players can DM me with any and all questions or issues that may come up during play. My campaigns start with a session 0 where players meet each other, create/introduce their characters, and we discuss what kind of game we're playing and the rules we all want to abide by. Players feeling safe and having fun is a priority for me at my table.
