About me

I specialize in atmospheric, story-rich RPGs where tension builds naturally, characters matter, and the world feels vividly alive. My games are designed for players who want immersion, meaningful choices, and stories that stay with them after the session ends. I particularly love horror, mystery, and dark fantasy, and I work hard to make those experiences both intense and welcoming. That means strong scene-setting, memorable NPCs, approachable guidance through complex systems, and a table culture that takes safety and inclusiveness seriously. Whether you are a veteran player or trying a new system for the first time, I aim to make the experience seamless, engaging, and player-driven. You will have room to explore, influence events, and build the kind of moments that feel earned rather than scripted. If you are looking for a polished online game with real atmosphere and real agency, you are in the right place. 🎲 Grab Your Seat Today and Let’s Create Something Amazing Together! Character creation

Creating your character

We will use Session 0 to discuss safety indepth, as this is a game about cosmic horrors. Characters will be traumatized by their experiences, but players should not be. During session 0, we also generate characters, and players should collaborate to create characters that can work well as a team.

The current party

Your PC will: 1. Have a clear motivation. 2. Be able to collaborate effectively with other party members. 3. Have a foil within the group: someone will complement your weaknesses or serve as a friendly rival. 4. Have a well-defined personality weakness. Use the 7 deadly sins for inspiration. 5. Have a well-defined backstory. Background Story Requirements: 1. Your story must align with the setting. 2. Your character's backstory should not exceed their current level of power. 3. Be concise, no longer than one page. 4. Include 1 potential rival and 1 potential ally that are relevant to your character's story.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a mic (webcam optional). They will not need to read or own the rules or create characters if they do not want to. Think of a concept for a character in federal law enforcement who would join a secret organization to combat the cosmic horrors.

Safety

How Mikael Hellstrom creates a safe table

In a typical session, the PCs will get a mission from their superiors, very often a mystery that has to be investigated to identify and eliminate the unnatural threat that has entered our world. That means a lot of detective work for the characters. And sometimes, they will have to break the law to destroy monsters. Note that this is a horror game, which at its core deals with characters who are subjected to physical and mental trauma, and the effects thereof. That said, the goal is to subject the characters to these trials, not the *players*, though players *should* be comfortable with getting scared or creeped out during the session. I use Monte Cook's Consent in Gaming safety tool, and will be asking players to submit the checklist and communicate what are hard lines or veiled content for them. As written (and this can be adapted), the setting contains: *Bugs * Blood * Gore * Harm to animals * Torture * Unnatural scientific experiments on animals and humans * Racism * Self-harm * Terrorism * Torture
