About the adventure
We all think about it. Life was so much easier then. All of your friends living down the hall from you, a meal plan, and only worried about what to do on the weekend (and that pesky paper due at midnight). Well, you can have it all again! Plus or minus a few conspiracies brewing around campus. Welcome to Wilkes Union! The foremost center of higher education in the The Dragon Kingdoms, offering schools of study in all flavors of magic. This game will take players through levels one to ten, and span all four years of magical university. Relive (or rewrite) your glory days as you navigate classes, extracurriculars, campus jobs. This game is focused on inviting new players into Dungeons and Dragons. Our story will take us to level ten, but before you become a hero of the realm I'll provide plenty of room for you to learn your spells and sword swings. Levels one through three will always feature an open forum of game+mechanic questions and generous mulligans. The action, speed, and excitement will as we continue to master our skills and uncover more of the mysteries surrounding Wilkes Union

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey new friends! Long time player of tabletop role playing games (with a gap where my life was taken over by military service and corporate America), I ventured into online GM-ing during the global pandemic. Baking my own bread didn't work out, but this has! Hosting games has been such a wonderful adventure for me personally, allowing me to keep in close contact with friends and relatives, to nurture a creativity that my work and life had put on the back burner, and (quite unexpectedly) make new friends on each adventure. Before GM-ing, I led small groups of 4 to teams of 200+ in both the U.S. Army and Fortune 100 companies. The skillsets I learned in order to juggle competing priorities, create dynamic and adhesive groups, and foster individual growth are skills I bring to my gaming table. The majority of my games are hosted in a homebrewed world and follow DnD 5E rules. At my table you will easily find life-long players with decades of experience smiling and cheering on those who are taking their first steps into roleplaying games. I lean heavily into collaborative story-telling and love to create lore around my players, as their backgrounds flesh out and enrich the world. While overarching campaigns may take us on adventures of world shattering consequences, many adventures are simply a fun night out with friends. 🎥 An adventure mashing together plot hooks from every Nicholas Cage movie? Let's do it! 🧟♂️Want to turn your favorite bed time story in a survival horror game? I got you! ⚡Just need an excuse to speak in a funny voice and spam Eldritch Blast? There's room for you here, pal. And if you don't see a game that fits your schedule, feel free to shoot me a message and I'll help get a game started or matched for you. Got a group a friends ready to go and just need a GM? I'm available for private one-shots and campaigns for groups of 4+. Can't wait to roll dice with you soon!

Creating your character
Character sheets will be made available in Roll20 before the session zero. Those comfortable creating a character entirely are encouraged to, but time will be set aside for each player to finish making or fine tune their character during the session zero.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
While a webcam is not mandatory, it is always nice to see everyone's smiling faces. A microphone is required, and headphones are highly recommended. Sessions will be held over zoom, with the virtual table top provided on Roll20. In-game hand outs will be available detailing major locations, historical events, and regional customs and courtesies.
What Elle McIntire brings to the table
I will provide the maps, tokens, music, effects, lighting, and players will have access to my entire compendium on Roll20. Each party is granted their own channel in my Discord server for group discussion, anti-GM scheming, and session recaps via memes. I also record each session on zoom (for my own notes), and am happy to share upon request.

How Elle McIntire creates a safe table
You can expect time set aside at the beginning of each session for any questions or rule reviews. Combat encounters will be slowed down from levels one through three to allow for experimentation, questions, and mulligans. As you progress in level and experience, I'll pick up the pace allowing for exciting and edge of your seat encounters. All handouts will be kept public in our Roll20 room. Feel free to reference them at any time. I also create custom handouts for Roll20 and Discord to help keep track of NPCs, organizations, clubs, etc.
